这道题我做对了，其他语法点也都懂，但就是有个地方可能钻牛角尖了，求NN拍醒
D选项， researchers say that the area is the home of… other foods that could feed…
manhattan语法中的规则：They BELIEVE that the machine WILL BE great
They BELIEVED that the machine WOULD BE great. 其他为错。
我明白could是可以用的，表可能性更小或者其他blahblahblah,但这两种用法的区别在哪里？

本题和虚拟语气很难说上关系，that could feed是作定语从句修饰2,000 grains, vegetables, roots, fruits, and other foods,与前面researchers say 无关。既然that the area都可以用is 而不用would be ，那么could也就更无关了。
