the clothes inside the store looked more appealing than did those outside the racks. 主语比较？

the clothes hanging on the racks inside the store looked more appealing than those in the store window. 状语比较？

这么坑爹的两句话，我该怎么办啊，求解释

第一句话的意思是
store里面的衣服比outside the racks的衣服看起来更吸引人，补全了就是
the clothes inside the store looked more appealing than the clothes out side the racks looked

did代替looked并且提前，而且可以省略，因为不会有歧义；
比较的就是the clothes与those

哦，谢谢，好细致的讲解，明白了，那请问第二句呢？是不是红色的部分做比较？

应该是inside the store与in the store window做比较，因为都是介词结构
