标题: 请教OG12 25题过去分词就近修饰

(A) Based on accounts of various ancient writers,
(B) Basing it on various ancient writers' accounts,
(C) With accounts of various ancient writers used for a basis,
(D) By the accounts of various ancient writers they used,
(E) Using accounts of various ancient writers,

Correct Answer is (E), as you may alrady know.

here I have a qustion regards how I eliminate answer choice (C) and (D)

(C)的used for a basis是个过去分词的modifiier，我觉得可以就近修饰writers, 句意就很荒谬，所以排除了

(D)的they used也可以理解为they used ancient writers，也不符合原句意思，所以排除了。

就是想了解这两个modifier可不可以就近地修饰，谢谢！

你的理解是对的~ 哈~ 不过这种结构直接看和主句逻辑主语是否配合就够了。做题会更加有章法~ＬＺ加油～！
