题目是这样的

Volvo – The Safest Car in the United States*

显然是描述不准确的
可能的问题有：

1) The definition of “safe”

2) # cars on the road

3) # passengers in the car

4) # accidents

5) Mileage

6) The driver

于是得到以下式子

# deaths* =

(# Volvos on the road) X

(# passengers in the car) X

(% chance of having an accident) X

(% likelihood of dying in the event of an accident**) X

(Miles driven per year) X

(Driver’s Likelihood of getting into an accident)

* assuming fewer deaths = safe car

我想问的是为什么要乘以(Miles driven per year) 和

(Driver’s Likelihood of getting into an accident)

想不明白这两点求问
