标题: PREP08-SC-172 各种modifier
以下截取了这个题的一部分，我的问题是：哪个在语法上是可行的？分别是什么语法现象？哪个是最优的？

句子的其他部分都是正确的，除了划线部分，答案选的是 typically，也就是这里的C：

172.Introduced by Italian merchants resident in London during the sixteenthcentury, life insurance in England remained until the end of the seventeenth century a specialized contract between individual underwritersand their clients, typically being ship owners, overseas merchants, orprofessional moneylenders.

in this case, "typically" is modifying an understood (i.e. legally omitted) "being" verb. adverbs never modify nouns. ever.
A错，B在语法上对的,但不如C简洁。 C，是省略了一个动词 understood
tim 说，这是一个在native speaker 中常见的省略。我们可以把这个看做 idiom。记住这个特例吧~
ADV 不是修饰N，而是省略了一个V， ADV永远不肯修饰N。
BEING，（V）也不能修饰N。

美女能顺便解释下这道题a contract做同位语的情况吗？为啥没有逗号也可以？而且不是同位语修饰前面的名词吗？这个离的好远啊

考过太久记不太清楚啦。不过我觉得这个同位语后置是因为太长了，而且后面还有这么多的修饰。（我的经验是，一般来说，修饰语需要靠近修饰成分，但是如果太长的修饰语可以后置）
