标题: [请教]大全374

In December of 1987 anautomobile manufacturer pleadedno contest to criminal charges of odometer tampering and agreed to paymore than $16 million in civil damages for cars that were test-driven withtheir odometers disconnected.

(A) cars that were test-driven with their odometers disconnected

(B) cars that ithad test-driven with their disconnected odometers

(D) having test-driven cars withtheir odometers disconnected（D）

(E) having carsthat were test-driven with disconnected odometers

这道题我选的是A，答案是D。这个having done不能做限定性的后置定语，看来是能做前置定语啦？一看到having本能的就判它是错的了。这个选项有点想不通，请教各位高手。而且我觉得A选项挺对的呀。请大家看看。

啊呀呀，我怎么会按照A的思路，把整个having test-driven都认为是修饰car的呢~~~

意思上理解的应该没有错但只是这个我也尚有疑问，
为什么不说

请教两句在逻辑上看到的句子~~

1. Profiles of Ertland-grown apples are high enough in Ertland that growers, wholesalers, and retailers there could easily afford to reduce the price at which these apples are sold. profiles是剖面、侧面的意思，句子看上去不通啊，请教啦
2. The high-rent block of Flowertown's Main Street includes several buildings whose owners currently seek to replace long-standing tenants lost in recent months. 中的seek to replace long-standing tenants lost 是什么意思呀~~~

你这样问会让别人很吃力，因为失去的情景几乎没有办法理解第一句。
我看了一下你说的这个题，才明白它在说什么。因为在Ertland本地的苹果很受欢迎，外地人想通过降低自己苹果价格去抢市场。
第一句是其中的一个选项，意思是说Ertland 苹果是那样的受欢迎，所以可以让苹果种植者降低这些苹果的价钱，（这些苹果应该是指外地苹果）。如果没有情景这个句子只能理解为Ertland受欢迎以致降低自己的价钱
回到profiles high profiles是高调，在这里profile are high 是取的这个意思
第二个意思就是说通过短租弥补长租流失的损失
