Position: 50% MS Graduate Research Assistantship (plus 50% tuition waiver) in Automation and Robotics Laboratory.
Emphasis: Applying robotics and computer vision technologies for color, fluorescent, and 3D based plant sensing for trait characterization. Emphasizing system instrumentation, image processing and pattern recognition algorithms high-throughput plant Phenotyping.

Assistantship: Stipend at ~$20,000/year + 50% tuition support
Qualifications: Applicant must hold a BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or closely related areas. Students who are already in an MS program are also encouraged to apply. Some relevant course credits can be transferred. For excellent candidate there are possibilities of pursuing a Ph.D. degree. Strong programming skills in C++/C# in Windows are required. Experience in computer vision, instrumentation, and motion control is a plus. Outstanding candidates with excellent academic record and research interest/expertise in the emphasized research area are invited to apply.
