Clearly carpenters working on hotels before 1930 typically worked with more skill, care, and effort than carpenters who have worked on hotels built subsequently.

原文意思是1930年以前的木匠活比之后的好，这是1930年前的木匠手艺高超，比较用心导致的。
但此选项意思是木匠活做的越好，建筑就越不容易被废除。我没有想明白为什么削弱了上述文字？

B选项谈的是tick的数量与食物多少的关系，而文章强调tick吃的食物里是否有感染的细菌从而影响后来是否有细菌的tick的数量。为什么选B呢？

1. 1930之前质量不好的可能已经报废了，所以没被看到；
2. 原文说因为其他物种数量增多，更多幼虫可以feed on未感染的主体，所以感染细菌的虫数量下降。B选项强调现在tick的数量是否受可以feed on的主体的限制，如果不受限制，那其他主体数量增多，tick也未必去寄生，可能还是选择白脚鼠。
顺便说一下这里feed on感觉不是吃，而是寄生。
