但是,这句话的主语是是由along with 引导的the deer, 主语不是the coyote. （因为主语是the coyote，那么这就是一个run-on句型，即 The coyote is........ , it has established.)

前句The coyote做主语，后句it也做主语。指代无歧义；
就算去掉along with所引导的的句子，这个句子也不是run on；因为中间的标点符号是colon，如果是comma，那就是run on；
以下是wikipedia关于run on的解释，FYI。
A run-on is a sentence in which two or more independent clauses (i.e., complete sentences) are joined without appropriate punctuation or conjunction.

啊楼主明天就考试了加油加油~考完分享经验呐！~
这个题的it不属于指代模糊的（你判断指代模糊有个好方法，就是看他们在句子中的成分）
因为逗号后的It其实做的是主语，而coyote也是主语~（至于along with 后面的那些名词，都可看做是浮云，如果是and就要另当别论了~）

可是划线部分前面，不是有一个逗号吗？即“The coyote is one of .... , it has established itself.” 因为中间并没有连词连接。直接以一个逗号连接，所以这就是一个run-on呀？？？不懂？请赐教~~

你看错标点了啊，那不是个逗号是分号啊，分号的能力大于逗号，小于句号，所以分号可以分开句子而不run on。
知道了这一点it指代的问题就迎刃而解了

你木有看仔细Bej的回答

但是如果你指的是分号后边的逗号的话，那个没有用因为它己经被分开了。

注意run on的定义：A run-on is a sentence in which two or more independent clauses (i.e., complete sentences) are joined without appropriate punctuation or conjunction. 两个或更多的独立的句子没有被恰当的标点符号连接；常见的就是两个没有任何关系的完整句子用逗号隔开。

但这里前后不是独立的句子。先看下colon的用法（from Wikipedia）：The most common use of the colon is to inform the reader that what follows the colon proves, explains, or lists elements of what preceded it. 这个题目中冒号后面的全部内容作为一个整体解释说明The coyote is one of several recent ecological success stories这个事实；

因为冒号在这里体现了解释说明这个逻辑关系，所以不需要连词连接，不是run on

关于being的用法，楼上的回复者之一enkyklios有一篇帖子专门讲解，你可以参考下。being这个词我印象中OG只出现了一次在正确答案中，做主语。这个词还是慎用。之前有某个童鞋总结了一句，being可有可无的情况下，最好别用，我觉得在某些情况下可以作为快速判断的标准。
