我觉得deal是可数名词啊，所以优先把用were排除了选B。而且A连签约双方都不清楚。NN们讨论下正确答案是什么？

I would choose A.

here "were" is used instead of "was" is 虚拟语气.

In C. We don't know what "them" refers to.

我第2次做时又选对了。谢谢楼上的指点，现在连WERE也理解了。另外B还有个问题是SIGN没有用过去试。

I prefer A.

"that includes a provision ... " modifies "agreement".

In choice B and C, if "they" and "them" refer to "investors", there is a logic error. The agreement should not be signed by Investors. It should be signed between the Investors party and the Bank.

我覺得C的them的指代有問題

而這邊我覺的用to比用for來的好,,,

to 表目地 for 表原因,,

可是我同樣對deal were有疑問,,,覺得要用was

不论单复数，用were表示对现在或将来的虚拟。

楼主题目有误，末尾应为：not to be concluded.

楼上，我不是NN。我是觉得GMAT的SC答案是比出来的，不是绝对的，until a merger agreement is signed 正好回避了代词歧义

还有，not one of 为什么+ is，这个我也糊涂了，当时选的时候就是记得:there is no people in the room。好像否定词+Ns后面就是跟单数吧？

这题当时在AC之间犹豫了, A没有明确动作发出者, 看着真的很不顺眼, 最后选了C, 看了前面大家的讨论, 一致觉得C的they和them指代是有歧义的, 我觉得...也只有这样了.

B选项的错误到底在哪里,就是they指代不清?可是前面只有一个复数名词investors,应该没有指代不清啊,而且也不觉得逻辑上有什么问题

A选项为什么要用虚拟语气呢?

DE的are错
B的for buying错，they没指代，if后面是虚拟语气，was错
C的be sign有问题，因为前面没有require，order,suggest之类的动词
而且如果是和后面的if一起表示虚拟的话，应该加上should
此外最重要的问题是指代不清，they不知道是指代investors 还是指代investor+Bank
语法上倾向前者，因为investors是唯一可以sign的复数，但是并购的合约是要双方
sign的，所以指代不清。A就避免了这个问题

明白了，谢谢，原先一直觉得they 可以指代investors，并且逻辑上也讲的通，现在才发现还有上面的这层指代关系。。
