A.     because of erosion, prehistoric glacier movement, and ancient, gold-bearing riverbeds thrusts to the surface by volcanic activity put gold literally within reach for

because of后不可接句子;

B.     because of erosion, prehistoric glacier movement, and volcanic activity that thrust ancient, gold-bearing riverbeds thrusts to the surface, and putting gold literally within reach of

and引导的并列结构的错误;

C.     owing to erosion, prehistoric glacier movement, and volcanic activity that had thrust ancient, gold-bearing riverbeds to the surface, and putting gold literally within reach of

同B,还有owing to,时态等错误;

D.     since erosion, prehistoric glacier movement, and volcanic activity that thrust ancient, gold-bearing riverbeds to the surface, putting gold literally within reach for

doing的错误修饰;

E.      since erosion, prehistoric glacier movement, and ancient, gold-bearing riverbeds to the surface by volcanic activity put gold literally within reach of

同时以上还有within reach of/ for的区别

ANS:E...

同时以上还有within reach of/ for的区别

這個怎麼區別ㄚ??

作者: huawang    时间: 2005-5-7 21:10

I choose D

I think that in E the meaning is not right.... "erosion, prehistoric glacier movement, and ancient, gold-bearing riverbeds" put gold literally within reach of anybody

I think the usage of since in this question is ....

in dictionary: since <prep>

from a time in the past till a latter past time or till now

EX. She's been working in a bank since leaving school.

therefore, I think D might be right

also "putting gold literally within reach" underscores the cause-effect nature of the situation. <---form og259

E is best.  D 若since 引导介词短语,则与后面的独立粉刺无法衔接。e是:since + n+v_ed(修饰)+v(谓语put) ,粉刺独立结构,表示整个分局的行为结果。

作者: xianer2    时间: 2005-5-11 05:04
另外,reach 作名词时,是reach of,表示范围。做动词时,是reach for,表示伸手去拿。

再讨论下这题

我觉得选D,  而E的意思不对,如huawang所说

我把他翻译出来大家看看:

D: since erosion, prehistoric glacier movement, and volcanic activity that thrust ancient, gold-bearing riverbeds to the surface, putting gold literally within reach for

由于腐蚀,史前冰河运动,以及火山活动等因素将古老的蕴涵金子的河床推倒表面,使得任何人拿个锅和铲就能得到金子.

E: since erosion, prehistoric glacier movement, and ancient, gold-bearing riverbeds to the surface by volcanic activity put gold literally within reach of

而E的语序,将河床同前面的各种因素并列 显然不正确.

另外D的within reach for the people 没有任何错误 并不能象xianer2那样按2个词组解释.

我的感觉就好象 a letter for you 和a letter of you一样

大家觉得如何呢

支持E

D: since erosion, prehistoric glacier movement, and volcanic activity that thrust ancient, gold-bearing riverbeds to the surface, putting gold literally within reach for

erosion,movement,riverbeds可以并列,volcanic activity ,putting不能和以上三者并列,否则就破坏原文意思了

E对

Prospecting for gold during the California gold rush was a relatively easy task,  since erosion, prehistoric glacier movement, and ancient, gold-bearing riverbeds to the surface (by volcanic activity) put gold literally within reach of anybody with a pan or shovel.

很清楚, 淘金那么容易的原因是: 由于erosion(腐蚀作用), prehistoric glacier movement(史前冰川活动) 和 ancient, gold-bearing riverbads to the surface by volcanic activity(古老的含金量极高的河床被火山活动推到地表),这一切真真切切地把金子推到任何一个淘金人面前.

D.     since erosion, prehistoric glacier movement, and volcanic activity that thrust ancient, gold-bearing riverbeds to the surface, putting gold literally within reach for

E: since erosion, prehistoric glacier movement, and ancient, gold-bearing riverbeds to the surface by volcanic activity put gold literally within reach of

而E的语序,将河床同前面的各种因素并列 显然不正确.

这里是指河床上抬的现象.

另外D的within reach for the people 没有任何错误 并不能象xianer2那样按2个词组解释.

有区别, within someone's reach 或 within reach of 就是指在某人够得到的范围内,当然也可以指力所能及的范围内, reach of 是指什么的范围,

reach for, 指伸手去够, 如: reach for an apple, 换句话讲, for后面跟的是reach的宾语,目的.

我的感觉就好象 a letter for you 和a letter of you一样

这个绝对不同啊, a letter for you 给你的信, 你是收信人

a letter of you :一般 a letter of 后面跟sth. 不跟sb. 不过有个例子你可以看看:

I will inform you that I expected a letter of you before this time…I would very
much like to here from you because I haind heard from you for six month, ...怎么样,是不是发现它说的其实是a letter from you

我同意E。不过E少了一个thrust,估计是输入错误。

E.      since erosion, prehistoric glacier
movement, and ancient, gold-bearing riverbeds **
thrust**to the surface by
volcanic activity put gold literally within reach of

关于并列的对象,我仍然觉得BCD中的顺序表达的逻辑意思是对的!

应该是腐蚀作用,史前冰川活动,火山活动这三个活动并列,对把古老的含金量极高的河床推到地表有作用,也就是说这三种活动对使得淘金变得容易的效果是一样的!

但是其他选项的错误更加明显

A. BECAUSE OF后面不能接句子,该选项中出现谓语动词PUT,错误

B. AND PUTTING

D. since erosion, prehistoric glacier movement, and volcanic activity that thrust ancient, gold-bearing riverbeds to the surface, putting gold literally within reach for

從句不完整﹐缺少謂語動詞。

E. since erosion, prehistoric glacier movement, and ancient, gold-bearing riverbeds to the surface by volcanic activity put gold literally within reach of

新download的天山在 gold-bearing riverbeds後已經加上了thrust。讓我們看一下有thrust和沒有thrust的cases.

沒有thrust的case: riverbeds和glacier movement, erosion平行﹐注意並不是提昇河床這個運動和冰山移動﹐侵蝕平行。一個東西和動態的名詞平行﹐感覺不好。

有thrust的case: gold-bearing riverbeds "thrust" to the surface, 這裡thrust只能是名詞。平行沒有問題。put是從句的謂語動詞﹐ 從句主語是三個並列。這樣就完美了。

希望繼續討論。

E 选项 thrust 和 后面的 put 不是有两个动词么?

怎么能对呢? 没有连词啊!
