Questions 10-11 are based on the following

As one who has always believed that truth is our nation’s surest weapon in the propaganda war against our foes, I am distressed by reports of “disinformation” campaigns by American intelligence agents in Western Europe. In a disinformation campaign, untruths are disseminated through gullible local journalists in order to damage the interests of our enemies and protect our own. Those who defend this practice say that lying is necessary to counter Soviet disinformation campaigns aimed at damaging America’s political interests. These apologists contend that one must fight fire with fire. I would point out to the apologists that the fire department finds water more effective.

问：本题我没有看出哪个答案较好，e中not effectively serve the political interests ，effectively和 political interests 怎么理解？

我是这么理解的。请指教。

题目意思是美国人说谎,传播假情报目的是为了保护自己和让苏联人失去打听美国的兴趣，这是用火对火的方法，就是大家假情报传来传去，作者说，用水来对付火是更有效的，也就是说，现在用的火的方法效果不怎么好。因此E就对了,假情报策略并不是很有效地(作者看来).

B道德标准依赖说真话文章没提到啊。

b， moral standing 确实有点扯远了。

e，当时做看到问main piont ，就没有去仔细想。经你一说，还是蛮有道理的。

请问谁帮我看看A为什么不对？最后一句不是说 water more effective吗？是否说disinformation campaigns 有效，只是还有比这个更有效的方法。所以我觉得E不对，请指教，谢谢！！！

fire 不如 water .故disinformation campaigns不如truth

刚开始做这部分题，为什么感觉和OG上的题差别这么大？比如这道题，哪是逻辑题啊，根本就是道阅读理解啊！

考试的题到底跟OG更接近还是跟这些成套题更接近啊？做OG的时候感觉还好，一开始做这个就大受打击

偶也是做的很郁闷，以前因为没有解释所以没做，快该考试了，看牛人们纷纷说一定要做，所以才做的，备受打击！！！！

我和haijung的问题一样，也是关于c选项。是不是c中所说的暂时的利益和长期的损失在题目中没有提到，所以不选？

一做到大全偶也很郁闷的说！！昨天晚上１１点半多开始做的，时间可能是差不多～可是做的那个糊涂啊～～前面５个全做．．后面只错了１个．．然后就直接睡觉了．．想想真的一点都不一样．．．．不过我已经把当作是在练习阅读了～～反正偶阅读正好灰常灰常弱．．．．

对于这个题目，我一开始也选的c，可是我当我平静下来再读的时候还是它错误了～因为根本没有讲到loss和gain啊～文中只是讲了假情报的不好，还是应该用水来灭火的道理～

而对于b选项呢～也是没有讲到morale

还是e最合适！！！

I would point out to the apologists that the fire department finds water more effective.

其实这个也是author的结论！只要将结论改写一下即可！！
