来源：从官网买来的一套模拟题~

The so-called Artic Ocean, which many oceanographers consider no more than a Mediterranean Sea of the Artlantic Ocean, is undergoing dramatic changes in water level due to causes as diverse as ozone depletion, glacier melting, and the long-term effects of radioactive contamination.

OA is A !!!
官方给的理由是：（B）and (E ) imply that the causes are as diverse as this list of causes. That's different from the intended meaning, which is that the list of causes are the causes of the change in water level~~~

不明白呀，语义上面怎么区分呢？？？
哪位大侠给在下指点江山一下啊~~~

这个句子感觉有点绕。原句的意思应该是ozone depletion, glacier melting, and the long-term effects of radioactive contamination是水位变化的唯一三个原因。如果后面有are,我觉得句子就可以改写成这样
。。。is undergoing dramatic changes in water level due to causes that are as diverse as ozone depletion, glacier melting, and the long-term effects of radioactive contamination.意思好像在表达后面的三个事物很diverse,用来类比水位变化原因的diverse.

嗯，我昨天又查了相关的帖子，最后的结论跟你的一样~嘿嘿
X as diverse as Y, 首先X，Y需要平行；其次，这个Idiom是用y 解释X的~

而 as diverse as are 正如你所说的，类比水位变化跟这三种实物似得~改变了句意~~~~

恩恩，这就是俺没弄明白的句意上面的理解~
