Their conclusions are drawn from underwater searches by mini-submarine of the are about 4 miles west of Midway Island in the Pacific Ocean during what started out as offshore oil platform accident procedures. There are some military historians that are skeptical about the scientists' claim, on the basis that sophisticated sonar equipment has not identified the ship as, indeed, the Harvard.

我觉的题目前后给的是两个概念吧，前面是the wreck of the H，而后面是说 historians 怀疑scientists'claim基于 sonar equipment has not identified the ship as, indeed, the H，而D选项中又说的是only enables to identify the shape and dimension of a wreck，所以加强了scientists的claim，可以identify the wreck，也就削弱了historians的观点了。作者: 花染水凉 时间: 2013-5-7 22:03
历史学家认为“sophisticated sonar equipment”没有identify the ship as H。也就是因为这个设备没有认为这个残骸是H，所以这个残骸就不是H。
他们觉得是设备认为残骸不是H。
D选项中，说的是这个设备只能 identify the shape and dimension of a wreck，不能识别这个残骸到底是什么。也就是设备不是因为这个残骸不是H而说残骸不是H，而是根本不能识别残骸的种类，所以才不能identify the ship as H。
