A major network news organization experienced a

此题是OG13 的19题，我选择的是D选项，但是OG给的答案是A，我不大接受。以下是我的简单分析：

A option says that othernetwork reported similar reductions, which does not relate to the report andthe loss of viewers;

B option says the characters of the viewerswho complainted;

C option says in what condition, thenetwork publicly explain the reason for the drop in the viewers;

D option says for several times the networkhad aired cont. reports and inspired complaints. The correct answer.

E option says therelationship between news viewers and network news.

请大侠们帮忙解释一下。

你忘记把问题粘贴上去了，应该是一道削弱题。
文中的信息提示： report -------drop viewers
report--------complaints
即在report 之后，发生了两件事情：观众减少，抱怨增多。因此结论认为：是complaints 导致了viewers下降。
但是请想想，这两件事情都是发生在report之后，能够证明他们之间有联系吗？
显然，能够攻击这个“gap”，就能削弱这个问题。
A选项，指出其他公司也遇到了viewers下降的问题（不要认为其他公司也报道了前面那个report,文中没说）。说明viewers的下降并不是由于report引起的complaints导致的。
D选项，更“像”加强，而不是削弱。说明这个公司曾经因为报道有争议的消息而引起抱怨，但是仍然不能说明viewers因此而减少。

如果收视率下降与报告无关，那么有没有这个报告N台的收视率都会下降。一个好的benchmark就是没有播放报告的其他台收视率也下降了。
