Intricate choreographer emphasized the beauty and virtuosity of the nineteenth_century prima ballerina, while the male dancer fuctioned only as her partner until the twentieth century

答案说choreographer错，为啥呢？我觉得应该是单数阿，后面并且说了while the male dancer functioned only as HER partner
请指教

Yes, it should be singular because of the "her".

仔细看了一下这个句子,觉得her在这里是指代prima ballerina, 而choreographer在这里应该用复数,就对了.全句话的意思是:
"复杂的舞蹈指导强调的是19世纪芭蕾舞女的美和艺术鉴赏力,然而直到20世界男舞蹈演员一直都只是她的舞伴".
