8-15
Clouds are formed from the evaporation of the oceans’ water that is warmed by the Sun and rises high into the atmosphere, condensing in tiny droplets on minute particles of dust.
A. Clouds are formed from the evaporation of the oceans’ water that is warmed by the Sun and rises high into the atmosphere, condensing in tiny droplets on minute particles of dust.
B. Clouds form by the Sun’s warmth evaporating the water in the oceans, which rises high into the atmosphere, condensing in tiny droplets on minute particles of dust.
C. Warmed by the Sun, ocean water evaporates, rises high into the atmosphere, and condenses in tiny droplets on minute particles of dust to form clouds.
D. The water in the oceans evaporates, warmed by the Sun, rises high into the atmosphere, and condenses in tiny droplets on minute particles of dust, which forms clouds.
E. Ocean water, warmed by the Sun, evaporates and rises high into the atmosphere, which then condenses in tiny droplets on minute particles of dust to form as clouds.
答案给的是c, 但是我觉得A最合适,因为从逻辑上讲其他几个都是water rise into the atmosephere, 不符合逻辑,只有evaperation rise into atmosphere 才合适,请版主指教

ocean water evaporates, rises......, and condenses.........
1)而A, clouds are formed 首先不好。
2)water that is warm又犯GMAT大忌。

对这道题还是有疑问,首先A中的condensing的主语可不可以理解为"....oceans's water that is warmed...." that引导的定语从句的主语?即condensing伴随的是(water) is warmed by the sun这句话。

难道that(oceans’ water) is warmed by the Sun and rises high into the atmosphere 不算是完整主谓句?!

A中condensing确实是修饰ocean's water。that(oceans’ water) is warmed by the Sun and rises high into the atmosphere是完整主谓句

句子强调clouds的形成过程,但A选项强调的是clouds are formed from the evaporation of the oceans’ water,后面用一个that从句解释water,掩盖了clouds具体的形成过程。

如果把A中的condensing改为condenses,相对于C,偶认为A更加符合句子的intended meaning. open to discussion

C is the best. A has voice problem
A. Clouds are formed from the evaporation of the oceans’ water that is warmed by the Sun and rises high into the atmosphere, condensing in tiny droplets on minute particles of dust. Active voice & passive voice
B. Clouds form by the Sun’s warmth evaporating the water in the oceans, which rises high into the atmosphere, condensing in tiny droplets on minute particles of dust. Modifier problem
C. Warmed by the Sun, ocean water evaporates, rises high into the atmosphere, and condenses in tiny droplets on minute particles of dust to form clouds. The best structure.
D. The water in the oceans evaporates, warmed by the Sun, rises high into the atmosphere, and condenses in tiny droplets on minute particles of dust, which forms clouds. Modifier problems
E. Ocean water, warmed by the Sun, evaporates and rises high into the atmosphere, which then condenses in tiny droplets on minute particles of dust to form as clouds. Modifier problem
