the stimulus: some people draw moral codes from law codes. they belive that, if something is legal, it could not be immoral, i.e., if something is legal, it must be moral.

Spot the question type: Negate of the argument's necessary assumption by adding the premise ( Weaken )

if it is conceivable for those people that something is legally permissible, it must be " not immoral ".

So, what we are looking for is, either something sufficiently guaranteed the sufficient condition of the argument but lead to the negate of the necessary condition of the argument or being necessary by the sufficient condition of the argument but contracted and inconsistent with the necessary condition.

A. If people also believe that law does not cover all circumstances where one people morally wrongs another, then it must be true that under some circumstances, they believe that even something is legally permissible, it could be either immoral or moral.

( Correct Answer - Negate the necessary condition of the argument )

B. legally impermissible ---> No morally excusable. So If being morally excusable, it must be legally permissible. ( It contradicts the premises )

C. Not relevant to the argument

D. Not relevant to the argument

E. Not relevant to the argument
