Carbon-14 dating reveals that the megalithic monuments in Brittany are nearly 2,000 years as old as any of their supposed Mediterranean predecessors.

(A) as old as any of their supposed

(B) older than any of their supposed

(D) older than any of their supposedly

(E) as old as their supposedly

I checked all the old discussion posts, and still have one question about the correct answer B,

Should it be "older than any other of their supposed"?

A错在用数字（2000 years )+ as old as 的表达方法上，而且将全句翻译过来，2000 years as old as 表示了两个东西年代一样有2000年久远，但是这明显跟predecessors的意思矛盾。

因为文章比较的是megalithic monuments 与它的predecessors ，megalithic monuments 是不包括在它的predecessors之内的。两个属于不同的年代，所以可以用any of their supposed ...

偶觉得不是这样耶, Vikki 和SJM

因为原句写出2000 yrs , 所以应该要用比较级才有意义,

而不是跟predecessor有关.

不对的，KoloveTu, 如果说A和B一样都是2000yrs old，就不能用比较级，这里predecessor（老的，前辈，先驱）暗示要用比较级。

我觉得这里用不用比较级要根据句子的意思来判断，这里句子的意思显然是在说这个东东megalithic monuments 被证实早于它的predecessor
