yeah, but in this coming Jan. I'd like to go to see my BF, who lives in Oxford city now, and thus intend to buy a little TV set in China. I haven't thought of the licence issue, thank you for reminding me of this, but could you please, if it doesn't bother too much, tell me can I bring him a TV set made in China? ayree, i can not answer question about bring a TV set from china to UK. you may ask some forwarding agent or customs. (anyway, i can not see any economic point of doing so.) regarding the tv licience, you may not find a leeway because you will be accused and fined up to 1,000 pounds if you do not purchase the licience. 作者: ayree 时间: 2004-12-8 23:23

It is said (not sure true or not) they can use special machine to detect if you watch TVs or not . If they pass by one's home and detect the signals, they will fine the one without license.
