应该是explain 与 promote 平行，因为从含义上看“revealing the mysteries of past and present cultures”是对“workings of archaeology”的解释，只能作为插入语，而不能作为平行结构的一部分，所以应该用between，ACE相比，A更好一些

这题真的有点奇怪
1) 有a balance among 的说法吗? 我从Longman字典上看到只有a balance between ? 我们一般的理解balance不都是两者之间吗?
2) among+3者以上的groups, 通常用法都是among them, among+ Noun….
有among Ving, Ving, and Ving这种用法吗?
感觉比较合理的答案是把(A)to promote, 改成promoting…., revealing和promoting平衡…??
有哪位大侠可以帮忙解释一下这题的结构和句意(我也狂暈~)!!

偶觉得如果“revealing the mysteries of past and present cultures”是对“workings of archaeology”的解释，那么revealing之前不应该有逗号，如果有了逗号，就应该是对explanation of the value and workings of archaeology的解释了。但是也不对，带逗号的现在分词一般作结果状语阿——这个不确定，还请NN指教！

balance 可以 连接 among，是英文里很常用的用法。http://www.unesco.org/most/csisaidaeng_rec.htm
里面的句子就是"Urban Development: Finding a Balance among Land, Sea and People"
当我看完这个句子的逻辑意思，发现这三个部分都要平行，就毫不犹豫的选了B。没有什么太多好讨论的。
用 among 说不过去， 按照四个都平行这种说法， 第一个and 怎么解释？？？
