67. Some people believe that society shouldtry to save every plant and animal species, despite the expense to humans ineffort, time, and financial well-being. Others believe that society need notmake extraordinary efforts, especially at a great cost in money and jobs, tosave endangered species.

Write a response in which you discuss whichview more closely aligns with your own position and explain your reasoning forthe position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you shouldaddress both of the views presented.

There are two contradictory points in thisstatement. One is that regardless of the heavy expense, the society should tryto save all endangered plants and animals. The other is that the former one iswrong. Admittedly, saving the endangered plants and animals at all cost willbring about damage to civilians' welfare. Yet it's our duty to prevent endangeredplants and animals from extinct if we do great damage to their livingenvironment and they matter a lot for us.

I agree that it will cost the society a lotto save endangered wildlife, which is not necessary to some extent. To saveendangered wildlife, we have to research their living habits in their habitats,which needs a large amount of funds and human resources. And the income of ourgovernment is from the citizens, so we are supposed to ask for their advicebefore doing something unbeneficial for their welfare and even enhance theirtax burden. Even if private organizations are willing to help them, some pointshave to take into account. For example, especially in some developingcountries, some food problems have not been solved, making it earlier forpeople there to take this problem into consideration if the cost is more thanthe benefits they gain.

However, without that exception, I stronglydisagree that people need not to donate fund to saving wildlife. It's ourresponsibility to help them because it's us who pollute their livingenvironment and make them nowhere to live, which even bring about their livingproblems. We destroy the ecological environment and break the rules of thenature. If we don't take actions to protect them, it will do damage to us aswell. For example, the factories in Yunnan, near Dian Lake which is a verybeautiful resort like the heaven, pour water pollution into this lake which isalso local people's water sources. As a consequence, the rate of cancer isincreasing now, which is mortal to humankind.
In addition, some animals and plants can beserved as valuable traditional Chinese medicine which can be used in treatmentsand contribute to people's health. Traditional Chinese medicine pays muchattention on their herbal materials, without which some diseases cannot becured at a better method because some healthy problems are better to reconciledby traditional Chinese medicine, which won't bring about too many by-productlike western medicines.

To sum up, considering some economicproblems, it maybe not suitable for some countries to take measures to saveendangered animals and plants at all cost. Yet, due to the great damage towildlife arising from us and the values they are bestowed with, it is morebeneficial and fair for us to prevent them from extinct at all expense.
