答案是E,首先觉得the economies of有可能产生三个经济总和的歧义,从后面的that of the other countries 也觉得the economy of更合适;另外the unemployment rate能清楚指代dutch unemployment rate吗?个人倾向D

这里with the ...修饰歧义，1.可以就近修饰Germany，显然句意不对；2. 修饰主句的主语，the Dutch economy，则逻辑搭配错误。

换一个角度

从标点符号看， AND 用来连接两个句子好一点， with 似乎用分词。
从句意看， economy 和 unemploymnent rate 是并陈的两项指标。
如果用that从句修饰unemployment rate，后半句似乎是fragment

考点似乎是并列的对仗，和 run-ons

那么经济萧条和失业率高没有关系? 如果两者并列, 就有可能当经济萧条时失业率低. 这现实吗?

既然未划线的部分中三个国家的unemployment rate可以用that来指代, 三个国家的经济用economy也很正常. 你不能因为没有用that而用了economy就说D错.

同样,如果把unemployment rate理解为economy的一部分, D的with 结构也可以得到解释

承认D不对,但是感觉E也有不妥的地方.1, 开始比较ECONOMY的时候E好像是说的DUTCH和其他三个国家的经济总和相比较; 2, 后来比较UNEMPLOYMENT RATE的时候,又用的的单数THAT来指代其他他们三个国家的UNEMPLOYEMENT RATE. 所以觉得很不理解,为什么开始用复数来比较，后来又用单数来比较了呢?

选D：说明是DUTCH的失业率：WITH不会理解为就近修饰因为有个逗号，如果要修饰DUTCH的话最好放在最前面成为逻辑主语，但是这里也应该认为是DUTCH的with（dutch economy with unemployment又有什么不对的，伴随啊，不一定是要dutch with unemployment）

而且E是个3个国家经济总和比了，而且分句中unemployment没有明确是谁的，所以D对：

最好用单数economy，表示每个国家的经济和DUTCH比较

我也选得D，总觉得E中的economies无法解释，难道说是荷兰的经济和英、法、德三国加起来的经济总合比较所以就要用复数？然后后面说失业率又变成了分别比较，所以又用了单数？

虽然是很久以前的讨论了，但是和赞成这个想法，economies是为了避免歧义的话，that同样也会产生歧义，又不是三个国家的unemployment是一样的

D选项的with修饰不清

这两个结构不一样吧。前面如果用单数economy的话，可以写成这样the economy of Britain,of France, and of Germany.至于后面用that没错吧，指代这三个国家的这个指标，一一进行比较。体会一下。
还有D中with的问题，with有表示伴随的功能，查了一下无with+n+定从的用法，并不如prep解释说逻辑主语的问题；若将that has remained改为remaining则为独立主格结构。但仍无E好，E中平行很舒服。

想了下，不对。关于with的问题，介词表伴随，意为“具有”，确实如prep有逻辑主语的问题
