标题: 不明白呢~~OG的一道题~~

我觉得B也对啊~~~
OG对此的解释是It must be clarify that in the form of carbon dioxide refers to carbon rather than to either plants or fungi

但是中间那个in the form of carbon dioxide不是插入语吗，插入语不是跟句子没什么关系吗，为什么OG要那么说啊。B到底错哪了呢~~~求解释~~

B选项：1)比较有歧义，可以意思为Plants are more efficient at acquiring carbon than fungi (at acquiring carbon) 或Plants are more efficient at acquiring carbon than (acquiring) fungi
2)in the form of carbon dioxide是名词修饰语，应该紧邻其修饰的名词，B的话就变成修饰fungi了

同意！
OG的解释就是说B选项容易让人理解为Plants are more efficient at acquiring carbon than (acquiring) fungi 。而in the form of carbon dioxide只能是修饰carbon 而非 fungi，所以B错。

in the form of carbon dioxide 这个可不是插入语，是修饰语。楼上的NN们解释的很对，我提供另一个句子修饰紧凑性的角度，句子通常说谁比谁怎么样，反过来看B 谁怎么样比谁。所以培养下这样的句子语感即使很多生词也能瞬秒题。

不过~~~还有一个小小的疑问——我怎么知道那个是修饰语而不是插入语呢~~？

这个。。。其实我不懂LS为什么要区分是插入语还是修饰语，其实这里虽然是起修饰作用但还是插入成分啊~ Lz，插入成分是可以去掉后再看句子，不影响句子的大意，但不代表它放在句子任何地方都可以。。。
