标题: 在美国商业银行做分析工作，需要什么样经验，才比较好回国找个位置
一直都想回国工作，具体原因不说了，不外乎那么几点。
我的情况是这样，在美国呆了5年了，读了4年书，工科(系统工程方向)phd +统计ms。毕业于100名左右普通州立大学。发了不少paper,但是对现在工作都没有啥用处。刚开始工作一年了。在一个大银行做信用风险管理的分析和建模工作。应该会在美国工作3-5年。这之间什么cfa之类的都会考好。我assume这里很多在美国的银行做分析的人吧。毕竟中国来的不是没个人都能投行。或者这里也有不少国内工作过，要来美国读书的人。就是想知道回国能做些什么，目前做信用卡，貌似这个方向的分析工作，国内不需要啊。。所以打算换个方向，做点国内有需求的工作，在银行业吧。投行我干不来。mortgage? basel II? 还有别的risk related? 甚至data mining?
待遇如何呢? 现在 8-9万吧。工作3-5年应该可以接近11-12万吧。国内呢？ 20w? 30w？ 50w?
还有就是我也可以换工作去西岸IT公司做数据分析，这样的经验，国内需要么?

回国可能是个性价比底的选择。但是就是想知道这样的选择下的最优决策.. 我觉得自己这种情况应该比较典型吧。
各位在国内工作过的，或者在美国做data, risk的人，有什么建议呢？

what do you want... make more money, switch to a "cool" career, or relocate back to China?? you could start building a "model" by weighting all these factors...

And it doesn't really matter whether you do data analysis in banking or IT - it's supporting function everywhere. You could enjoyr your staaaable life with slow salary increase, or start over and forget about past (your sunk cost).

Why did you do your phd in the begining?

我只是想知道未来3-5年我应该如何设计自己的career为回国做准备..我没有想make more money或者switch to a "cool" career. 我对投行咨询也没兴趣. 我只是想在回国的前提下,尽量的保证我的expertise可以用上, 我的salary不要下降太多而已.如果说我在美国学到的, 工作到的, 在国内完全没用, 经验完全要划为0, 和应届生一样, 那么这样的sink cost我肯定是承受不了的.

至于phd, 没有什么为什么,这个只是背景的一部分.

楼主在哪家商行，在国内有分支机构么，是否可以内部调动？我觉得现在国内商行很缺Basel 3的专才。50w应该有的。个人意见供参考

谢谢你的建议。。恐怕作basel III不太容易。。现在很多银行basel II都还没整好呢。。

国内监管机构现在要求银行BASEL2和3同时上马，当然宽限期很长，可到2016年满足。楼主，我发信息给你了，请查收

国内都没有巴III，用的是新巴塞尔协议，是I和II的综合体

我想国内直接申请国外商行职位。。。不知道是否可行`~ 哪里可以有china desk 过去就好了`~
