LZ, be expened on something as well as on something 似乎看不出什么错，但题目中的两个选项的表达是大有问题的。
C.E选项中的过去完成时的使用是存在问题，作为修饰the Iliad，应该和它时间一致，而不是发生在began 和pronounced 两个动作之前。所以应该用一般过去时态。作者: 云游 时间: 2012-12-26 17:30
哦，这里看了前面的句子明白了，in 1713, Pope began his translation...所以在这个时间节点修饰translation（a work）的动作-花费了他7年时间来完成的-不可能是在began之前的~不可能才began然后就已经是完成了的，用过去完成时显然不符合逻辑~~懂了，谢谢指点！
