标题: Manhattan SC与白勇语法的矛盾！
今天看manhattan SC 第五版，47页关于倒装有这么一个讲解：Wrong: There IS a young man and an older woman at the bus stop.
Flip it! A young man and an older woman ARE there at the bus stop.
Right: There ARE a young man and an older woman at the bus stop.
By flipping the sentence so that subject precedes the verb, we can see that the compound subject a young man and an older woman is plural.
看完后瞬间颠覆我的三观啊。不是there be讲究“就近原则”吗？
白勇语法P50也这样说：
在there be A and B 句型中，由靠近be动词的A决定be动词的数的形式。
求各位指点！

亲。。。。白勇语法已经是古董了，上面很多东西已经过时了，随着Gmat的改革已经渐渐的跟不上现在的出题趋势了，还是依据manhattan很靠谱。。。。。

关于there be的问题，一定要看以强调什么，这里强调的是man and woman，那一定是当做整体的复合型名词是复数；对于 there be句型在Gmat中考察最多就是个倒装句，考察你真实的主语到底是谁，那就要flip一下，找到真正的主语，在国外哪里来的就近原则呢？？？以前咱学习的就近原则就是国内考试的rules罢了。
