Answer: B C

D选项的表达有歧义,用results 和hampers平行,是表明conversatinal pace引起所有人的sense of speech,而不是children 理解句意,hamper后面有两个内容,to distinguish和to make,make不能与hamper平行。
B选项用to make和to distinguish平行 ,也正是表达了此意

我自己的看法啊:A选项:hold与a United States citizen主谓不一致;making放在句中夹心修饰,如果修饰immigrants则是错误的逻辑关系;imprisonment that a …中that有引起修饰imprinsonment的歧义,所以应该用make it a crime punishable by imprisonment for sb. to do。
A law passed in 1993 that…有作为immigrants同位语的歧义;make it a crime for sb. to do,用doing错误。
后面的所有修饰成分,仅仅because of noun, S.V.O.逻辑上也能够非常直接没有问题;这里because of a law,已经能够表达出是immigrants found that的直接原因
E选项:being冗余,due to在GMAT中不放在句首。

1.A选项:is reflective与前面第一个so不平行,后面又出现so that,so..so that不合习惯,而应该用so..., so..., that,使前面两个so平行;而且注意到little of sth. 本身的little。
Were it to do so是虚拟语气的表达方式

否定句用not so...as...

不知道该怎么回答你的问题,单就breaking the laws 来说,它没有错,who found all twelve breaking the laws很完整,修饰了state medical officials。

Not only did the systematic clearing of forests in the United States create farmland (especially in the Northeast) and gave consumers relatively inexpensive houses and furniture, but it also caused erosion and very quickly deforested whole regions.

    首先,要明白,这道题不是not only.....but also....
