答案是A，但我选的C。有没有牛人给我解释一下为什么不能用现在分词flourishing替代定语从句？

C时态不对

D.flourishing at the same time as those did

（C）those不對，had不對
those不能只帶civilizations，因為前面civilization是單數；had要改成did，要不就認為是perfect tense了
（D）flourishing可以，但是後面的those和did錯了。
those錯同C，did的話前面沒有對應的詞，如果想did對應flourish的話，只能使用flourished
（E）錯同D

至于现在分词那个问题：我想说的是不可以随意更改A 句中的逻辑含义和修饰层次，A从句修饰不该随意更改，除非有明显语法错误。
如果换成ing修饰，违背了A句所要表达的逻辑层次，所以D E杀
