谁能帮我分析一下这个比较的句子呢economic growth will proceed at a more moderate pace than in the first quarter of this year.似乎前面并没有什么可以和后面“ in the first quarter of this year”比较的阿？
现在看到句子里面还有“than”就很怕。

是省略，省略了PACE，当比较（THAN， AS。。。AS）前后比较对象相同，可以省略。

另一种省略形式是当从句中主谓与主句中主谓相同，从句中主谓可省。

THAN比较没什么可怕，只要牢记同类事物只能和同类事物比。

the protein in rice is higher quality than that in wheat，这个选项是错的，正确是B，另外，在此选项中（即A中），THAT指的是the protein（优先指代主语），不是quality，如果THAT正确指代quality，也可省的。

哦，我明白了，非常感谢，看来我关键是对于that这个指代问题搞得不清楚，才一直走不出来，代词指代真是个灵活的问题。我看到以前的大虾们说到：对于当优先指代失去效用，应采取逻辑判定的方法。但不知道所谓的逻辑判定中有什么潜规则，什么是对什么是错，你有什么看法么？请告知一二，拜谢！

2、数，格，时态正确

3、语义不ABSURD
