标题: 请教 OG 12 SC 8 OG 解释的两个问题
The wirdely accepted big bang theory holds that the universe began in an exposive instant ten to twenty billion years ago and has been expanding ever since.
1.
C that the beginning of the universe was an explosive instant ten to twenty billion years ago that has expanded.
我的问题是，为什么 the beginning of the universe was an explosive instant，这里要用was。如果按照C的句子意思来看，应该是在陈述一个可观的，大家都懂得事实。应该用现在时态呀，既： the beginning of the universe is an explosive instant ten to twenty billion years ago. （OG 对此没有解答，估计是认为 was是正确的）

我明白 the universe began in an exposive instant ten to twenty billion years ago begin 用过去式是因为后面的 ten to twenty billion years ago 限定了，时态， unvierse 不可能现在begin。

C难不成也是如此么？

2. D the begining of the universe to have been an explosive instant ten to twenty billion years ao that is expanding.

og解释中说，这句话 illogically suggests that begining is expanding. （意思是 that is expanding 修饰了 the begining 么？）（但是that 不应该直接修饰 instant么？）

umm...第一个问题真的不好回答，我只能说除了明显的时态错误，比如没有过去背景却用了过去完成时、一些明显用现在完成时的标志却没有用现在完成时等等之外，语法错误是一个非常不好的split点，一般都是要找其它错误点的~~
像这句话，LZ觉得是陈述客观事实，所以应用现在时；但很可能作者只是描述一个过去的动作，用过去时也无可厚非~
第二个问题其实很多帖子上都有的~
begining to have been instant中 to have been是系动词，所以beginning 就是instant,所以LZ理解的是对的，只是OG上换了一个讲法~

单纯的tense角度讲：我认为C选项的was应该是改成is——因为是陈述一个事实而且是A is B的系表结构，宇宙开始于一个大爆炸——the beginning of the universe was an explosive instant （ten to twenty billion years ago that has expanded）
但是翻译出来不是觉得奇怪吗：应该是是宇宙起源起始于大爆炸而不是宇宙的开始是一个大爆炸，而且后面的that has expanded，这个that指代的问题其实和D选项一个问题，由于A is B系表结构的原因，可以指代beginning了，这样意思也不对，当然that is expanding同时也是将原句中并列的句子改为从句，大忌。

但是翻译出来不是觉得奇怪吗：应该是是宇宙起源起始于大爆炸而不是宇宙的开始是一个大爆炸，而且后面的that has expanded，这个that指代的问题其实和D选项一个问题，由于A is B系表结构的原因，可以指代beginning了，这样意思也不对，当然that is expanding同时也是将原句中并列的句子改为从句，大忌。
