Thanks for your email about starting a PhD in my group here at UNSW. I have reviewed your CV and unfortunately, whilst you will hold a 4 year BE degree, your current GPA of 3.3 is suggestive that you will not receive an equivalent 1st class honours degree to here in Australia. This would mean that you would not get an offer of a scholarship and make your study financially very difficult.

Good luck with your search for a studentship.

我觉得这个基本没戏了，他虽然只说你的GPA不足以使你得到有奖学金的offer，但他还是指出了你的硬伤。如果你自费的话，可以试着问问
