D为何不是正确答案做了两遍还会倾向选d，求指教

体内获得啊···so 只有从C/E中选。但是E中learning的逻辑主语错误所以只有C了

句意为王！根据句意，before就已经解释了两个句子之间的逻辑关系，后面的句子先发生，前面的句子后发生。答案中只有B符合这个逻辑，前面用过去完成时，后面用过去式，这题可以直接秒！

如果没有Before，答案D也是通的，但意思改变，变成科学家小心翼翼的从死人的脑垂体腺中移除荷尔蒙是为了学习制造合成荷尔蒙。

但原句是，在能制造人造合成荷尔蒙之前，科学家不得不小心翼翼的从死人的脑垂体腺中得到。

就是it指代的是前面整个单数名词包括它的修饰成分在内，所以it必须指代 a synthetic growthhormone。而 that this 等是泛指代,必须有对应的修饰成分在，不能裸奔。我私信回不了你。就在这里回你了哈。prep08里面有具体讲解哈

我看了下解释。应该是E
A/those指代的是人。20percent和人比较不对
B/to不能在逗号后面做modifier成分
C还是those吧
D/twice as much不对

a，doubling这种形式看到就排除把，b你说的对，d可数所以是many，这些都是基于是不是数字，如果前面是数字所以第一反应就是e了

除了这个之外，before learning..,scientists...中scientists必须是learning的主语，即发出remove和learn动作的scientists必须是同一scientists，这显然不符合逻辑，所以即使D选项改成了before learning how to synthesize growth hormone, scientists...也没有C选项合理~~

这里doubling错的原因不是这个形式问题。。。doubling后面跟的是those，这里的those指代什么？只能指代young adults,但是survey里报导的不可能是人啊，只能是数字。。。

fossils of some of the biggest armored dinosaurs对应 fossils of any similar dinosaur type，用fossils对应dinosaur是不对的。。。。

那你的意思是选哪个呢
关于doubling，因为double本身就有形容词的含义在，所以无需ing来修饰。当然double也是可以做动词，但是doubling就是多此一举了。
语，即发出remove和learn动作的scientists必须是同一scientists，这显然不符合逻辑？为什么一个科学家就不符合逻辑呢？我觉得zhao此题说的很清楚

我没有说zhao的解释是错的，相反我非常同意，但是我说的是另一个split。。。建议你看一下ron的解释吧。。。。
ps:GMAT中的大忌就是因为具体的形式就排除选项，也许暂时你会做的很顺，但总有碰壁的时候，而且你要bless不要在考试的时候碰壁~

另外提供俺今日看manhattan關於active voice和passive voice自己總結的看法：當作者強調的是動作的執行者的時候，主動表達preferable；當作者強調的是某個動作，同時企圖弱化動作的執行者時，被動表達preferable。

（1）讀完句子，確定大概意思為“在scientists瞭解如何人工合成hormone之前，他們必須從XX中remove hormone”。
（2）句子的意思強調的是從XX中remove的這個動作，而不是remove這個動作的執行者，因而偏向于利用passive voice來強調remove這個行為。因而俺選C。

純粹看manhattan examples的總結哈...木有權威證明...

18楼是Absolute Phrases ，所以答案就是在d和e中，兄弟你纠结于形式了。用了，and的话，除非并列的就是动词announce的宾语，那么就是Absolute Phrases。d肯定是对的只是我觉得e也对，自己在check把。anyway谢谢你
