drawn?

这段是什么意思，为什么是A

大意就是说1975-1985间occupancy rates 是87，admission rates 是95。而1985-1988间，虽然occupancy rates上升到92，但是admission rates却下降81。
A说是因为病人在医院呆的时间长了，在1985-1988间，所以解释了occupancy rates上升但是admission rates却下降的矛盾，因为呆的时间长了，保证了occupancy rates，但是却阻止了admission rates。

床位的使用率高了，表明更多的人来住，但新进来的人少，说明空床少了，只能说明好多人呆在那不走，只有A

画蛇添足说一下，关于nursing home

longman 解释：a place where people who are old and ill can live and be looked after [synonym] old people's home

collins 解释： A nursing home is a private hospital, especially one for old people. [例句] Isaac Binger has died in a nursing home in Florida at the age of 87.

我认为本题不严谨：题干中没有涉及nursing-house和申请入住者的数量变化。

不知大家有何高见？

申请批准率。学校录取了会有admission letter，一样道理。这题昨天刚讨论过。

occupancy rate是床的占用率，在这些占床的人中，有的人是登记过，‘合法’住；有的是自己未经admitted 就住进来。

这仅是小菜鸟的小灼见，牛牛们指教。

我能明白为什么选A. occupancy rate 是床位使用率，admission rate 是招收病人率。

我想之所以大家对两个词有疑惑是因为大家根据题目所给数据，假象不到当时的情况，我现在就处于这种困惑中。。。

admission rate: 允许进入屋子的人数
between 1975 and 1985, between 1985 and 1988: 分别各自代表一段时间内

一段时间内当允许进入屋子的人数降低的情况下，为何屋子里的平均人数会增加呢？

平均待的时间长，自然就增加了
