1. 请问如果选A，全句的谓语动词是什么？是each后面的had吗？和后面的its form岂不是不搭？
2. “some formed as commerical ventures", "others as religious havens", "each"在句中分别是什么成分?

each是主语，had是谓语动词

大神，意思是had既是each的主语，也是“The thirteen original British colonies in North America”的主语吗？

“each”和“some formed as commercial ventures”, “others as religious havens” 都是同位语吗？

如果each是同位语，谓语应该和句子主语保持一致啊，不应该是“had a written charter that set forth its form of government ......”啊？同位语不是不影响主谓一致吗？

总之，我还是不明白整个句子的谓语是什么？这几个插入语的成分是什么？

不是，前面那些都是修饰成分

句子的主干只有each had...... （each前面的都是修饰成分，。。。尽管这个用法很少见）

请问set forth的主语不是a written charter么？？有点绕晕了。。。

主语是a written charter 但这里的set是过去式
从后面set forth its...中的its看出应该是a charter而不是charters
