1. Sunspots, vortices of gas associated with strong electromagnetic activity, are visible as dark spots on the surface of the Sun but have never been sighted on the Sun’s poles or equator.
(A) are visible as dark spots on the surface of the Sun but have never been sighted on
(B) are visible as dark spots that never have been sighted on the surface of the Sun
(C) appear on the surface of the Sun as dark spots although never sighted at
(D) appear as dark spots on the surface of the Sun, although never having been sighted at(C)
(E) appear as dark spots on the Sun’s surface, which have never been sighted on
are visible or appear,彻底晕了,那位能给讲讲,先谢了!
A. 被动语态 are visble as; be sighted ON the poles or equator
C. 主动语态 appear as ; be sighted AT the poles or equator, AT is better.
我觉得 visible 在这里句意也有问题, 从常理上讲sunspots are not visible.
不知道对吗?请指点一下
sunspots are visible 没错的,太阳黑子
但是 sunspots are visible as 就有问题了,表达得很别扭。
请教关于although
1项中although前面用逗号隔开,是否后面要加上主语?
2:although可以这样省略?
我看到有NN说这里BEEN可以省略,但我记得如果主句没有出现BE动词的谓语形式,后面好象省略有问题吧?
请赐教

结果正确答案是A
OG-11th的答案是A
The correct parallel structure in the original sentence emphasizes the contrast between where sunspots are found (are visible...Sun) and where they are not (have ever beensighted...equator). Sunsports is the subject of the sentence, are is the verb of the first part of the contrast and have been sighted is the verb of the the second. The adjective visible is a complement and is a parallel to the past participle sighted. Both parts of the sentence conclude with phrases indicating location. The contrast itself is indicated by the conjunction but.
A.correct. This sentence clearly and correctly draws a contrast between where sunspots are found and where they are not
B.Changing the modifying clause so that that never...Sun distorts the meaning of the sentence; the contrast is lost
C.Although typically introduces a subordinate clause, which has a subject and a verb, but here there is no subject and sighted is not a complete verb
D.Although usually introduce a subordinate clause, but there is no subject of the clause and having been sighted is not a complete verb phrase
E.The relative pronoun which should immediately follow its referent; here which illogically follows surface, and its intended referent, either sunspots or dark spots, becomes unclear
OG的解释不权威吗?为什么大家会把OG认为错的答案讲出这么多正确的理由来?纳闷ing...
大全中居然有错误答案,这个有点麻烦
怎么我的OG11上答案是A?
A Correct. This sentence clearly and correctly draws a contrast between where sunspots are found and where they are not.
C. Although typically introduces a subordinate clause, which has a subject and a verb, but here there is no subject and sighted is not a complete verb.

那肯定是大全错啊.再犟犟不过OG.
这次正错的郁闷呢,看到OG11这么解释倒是放心乐.
A固然有不舒服的地方: 比如visible as dark spots on the surface of...,这个介词短语有歧义的可能,修饰spots.
我觉得,这一个思想也可以引申一下,就是: 除了一些超级固定的搭配,比如常见的such as, not only..but also, consider A B等等,request of sb that, prohibit from, forbid to等等,一般不会细致的靠到介词的搭配上去.所以我觉得,这题,如果靠 AT / on 的介词来做题区别,很不靠谱,有点附会的感觉.
