To protect a type of evergreen trees, three possible solutions have been put out by experts to address the decline of Torreya. However, in the lecture, the professor claims that none of them can be useful to achieve that goal. She defused the possibilities listed in the passage one by one.

Firstly, the first option is to reestablish Torreya in the same location with a specific microclimate. But, according to the professor, the climate condition in this region has been totally changed, for the reason of global warming, which makes the over temper all over the world and the wetland in Florida has been drained, causing the area to be much dries. The condition in the area nowadays is not suitable for the trees to survive anymore.

Secondly, moving Torreya to an entirely different area can bring in many unpredicted results. As the professor said, one kind of tree called Black Locust killed many species of trees in the north when it had been moved northwards. To make the situation worse, those species of trees have already been in danger. Introducing Torreya may also lead to this kind of unexpected problems.

Finally, the last option to preserve Torreya in research center is also not useful because the research center is not able to provide the large capacity for large genetically diverse, which is necessary for the trees to survive against diseases.

To sum up, all the trees options presented in the reading passage is not practical in the real situation. Not only are they unable to protect Torreya from decline, but also they can cause more losses in the end.

People should buy things made in their own country;even the price is higher than same things made somewhere else
提高产品质量
更多的选择
价格更加便宜,提高了消费者的购买力,没有必要多花钱

Nowadays, due to the opening reform of many countries, the boundaries of countries have been more and more ambiguous. However, there is a big issue coming up that whether people should buy their domestic things, even the price is higher than same things made in other countries. As far as I am concerned, I hold the positive view for the free exchange of goods and services internationally, by the same token, people needn't protect their domestic things from competition with others for the following reasons.

Firstly, opening the gate of countries allows technology to flow among different countries, which will improve the qualities of basket of goods people can consume. For example, some countries like German and Japan have more advantages in producing digit products. When other countries borrow the technology from them, it is a much easier and cheaper way to improve their domestic products.

Secondly, sharing the products provides people more choices. For instance, before the reform of opening in China, people consume all the things produced domestic, wasting those overproduced, such as clothes, cotton, and lacking those that cannot be produced due to the limit of technology, like the Internet. It is a huge waste of resources in the world. Thanks to the police of opening reform, Chinese people can enjoy the convenience of Internet, charting and making friends with people from all over the world, and at the same time, western countries can purchase clothes importing from China much cheaper.

Finally, it is of no necessity to spend excess money to buy the same goods which are available in other areas. Most importantly, it is not a wise to decrease the purchasing power of people to protect domestic goods from competition in the world. Consumers have the rights to choose what they want to buy. Why should they spend more money to buy something that is not superior for them?

To sum up, considering consumers' interest and countries' technology improvements, there is no need for people to only buy goods domestically. Governments have not rights to help their people make the choice. Besides, wise people are always those who make full use of their money, to maximize their own interest. Seeing from the other angle, the more competition there are, the stronger the motivation the producer will have to provide us better products.

Recently, many people concerned how people could be happier, different people hold different views. There is a voice saying that if people have fewer possessions, they will be happier. However, I do not hold the same opinion as theirs.

First of all, without the enough possessions, good health care cannot be accessible for people when they have diseases, which is the fundamental requirement for happiness. When people get some ill, on the one hand, they suffer pain themselves. On the other hand their families will be very anxious then. Several years ago, the heal care condition was not as advanced as what is today. Many people died of small diseases due to the lack of technology, even like the stomach ache. But now it is a small problem for doctors to solve. The healthier people are, the more likely people will be happier.
Secondly, fewer possessions mean fewer choices for people to release their burden, which may cause psychological disease. For example, when people in the old times were addicted into some anxiety, nervousness etc, the only choice to relax was to share it to their family or friends. Usually, comforts from family and friends were not always effective. Moreover, if no one was available for them to turn to for help, they can only assume it by themselves. If they did not find a suitable way to relax, they easily caught psychological diseases. On the contrary, when people have more possessions, they have many choices to smooth their mood, such as going for shopping, seeing a film, or take a train to see different sceneries in other places.
Finally, without many possessions, the people who work far away from home cannot go home frequently to get together with their family. On the one hand, it is time consuming to go home thousands of miles away from home, however, when people want to go home, they can do that on weekends without affecting their work on next Monday. On the other hand, it is much cheaper for people to do that, because the cost has been diminished due to the technology advancement nowadays. Besides, when people have no time to go back home, computers can help them to conquer the homesickness. People can talk face to face with each other.
To sum up, more possessions should not be blamed for driving away people’s happiness. Instead, if we can make a maximize use of what we have, we can be much happier for the convenience, more choices and better living conditions they bring to us.

Many people are suspicious the roles of buzzers for the reason that they are paid by the company for the use of advertisements. However, the man disagrees with the three detailed reasons the reading passage shows us.

Firstly, it is not true that buzzers are those who have any motive for misleading the customers as the reading passage tells us. On the contrary, even though buzzers are the people who are paid by the company, they are truly products users. Take him for an example; he was hired by a company to say something about a phone, because he really found it is very good.

Secondly, according to the passage, the writer tells us that customers are easily cheated by buzzers. But the man claimed that customers are wise enough to tell between the truth and lie. Before they want to buy something, they will ask a lot of questions concerning the price of the products, how long it could be used and whether it is a good product.

Finally, the man refutes the writer that people will be less trustful of people in general as the consequence of this kind of marketing methods. The man states that usually buzzers are very helpful, they tell the customers the real using experience of certain products, just like he tell people his feeling when he uses the phone. So when the customers buy it and agree with points of buzzers, they will become more trustful and even more open to people in our world.

To sum up, the viewpoints in the listening material contradict with the author's in the reading passage. On the one hand, he uses his own experiences as a part time buzzers paid by a phone company for example to explain his viewpoints about the buzzers and then refutes the reasons stated in the reading passage one by one.

Young people should try several different jobs before they decide whichjob or career they will do in the long term.

Due to theuniform education system, young people receive similar education when they arestudying in school, taking the same classes, being assigned the same homework, and even taking part in the same activities at school. Consequently, many youngare not bothered to think their career goal in the young age. So trying severaldifferent jobs before is very necessary and helpful for them to decide whatthey will do in the long term.
To begin with, without the smooth mind to try several different jobs, people will be moreanxious and difficult to make their decision. Because, when people regard thefirst job as their lifetime career, the first choice will be of muchsignificance for them. Many young people having a good bachelor degree fear toenter into the job market not because they are not qualified, but because theyattach to much importance of the first job, evaluating the pay, the position, reputation of the company and so on. Instead, people who are calmer can find asatisfied job in the end though they are not he outstanding students in theclass. So if we can adjust our state of mind, there will be more opportunitieswaiting for us.

Furthermore, tryingout new things is the most effective way for people to get the truth, whateverit makes success or failure. Edison is just the person who kept trying beforehe made a big discovery of electric light. Career is also a discovery for everyperson who needs to dig out. Before trying, nobody knows which job is they arereally interested or adept in. Even we find bored in the previous job, in thatway we can know that kind of job is not my meal, which will save a lot ofenergy and time when we step into the other one.

Additionally, based on theaccumulated experience in the prior jobs, people will become mature andexperienced enough to find a better job. Nowadays it is a common phenomenonthat people change their jobs frequently, especially in their starting stage. Many people may claim that this frequently moving is due to the lack ofresponsibility of present young people. However, I do not think so. On the onehand, companies do not have any losses, even if it costs them a lot to trainthe new comers, the newcomers are much more hard-working and dedicated to learnnew things than the employees who have stayed for a long time, however, with arelatively low wage, which offsets the cost of the companies. In facts, thereexist many companies only take in these kind of unskilled but flexible employeesin order to cut down their labor expenses. On the other hand, ambitious peopleare supposed to find a bigger stage to express when they accumulate moreexperiences and skills in the previous job. The experience they got before willhelp them to stand out in a pour when they apply for a new job. This is surelya win-win game.

To sum up, when we are not sure about something, keeping trying is thebest answer. If the first job the right one, you are so lucky to settle down. Onthe contrary, if the first job is not the one you are dreaming for, neverhesitate to make a change.

In the reading passage, theauthor mainly talks about the bad effects of "let it burn" policy. The professor talks about the same topic in the listening material. However, inthe eyes of the professor, forest fire is not destructive but creative for our world. She explained her viewpoints in terms of the fire's effects on vegetation, animals and tourist attractions.

Firstly, the author in thereading states that tremendous damage caused by the Yellowstone fires. Theprofessor diffuses the author's idea for the reason that the Yellowstone firescreate an appealing habitat for some small trees to survive. On the one hand, the areas which many big trees and plants live in are now suitable for thesmall trees which need unshelled places to survive. On the other hand, theseeds of some species have grown very high, thanks to the high heat the firebrings to them, which are very helpful for their growth.

Secondly, the author points outthat the fire affects large animals to a large extent. But the professor holds thedifferent opinion that many animals not only recover from the big fire, butalso have new opportunity to grow. For instance, rabbits and hares have abetter habitat when the small trees replaced the large ones grew there beforethe fire. So do the animals which depend on them for food.

Finally, according to theprofessor, the tourist will not be affected by the fire, since the fire doesnot occur frequently. The Yellowstone fire is just a unusual one. So touristscan come back to the area next year and even each year after the fire.

The natural trees are very diverse,so some will be survive when some of them die due to big changes in the environmentsuch as climate changes. But the genetically modified tress are usually uniform, all of them are more likely to die when facing big environmental changes.
Secondly, the professor points out that thereare many hidden costs of genetically modified trees which are contradict with theauthor’s expectation. The reading mainly introduces us about a new way called genetic modification to improve the trees. However, the professor holds the different opinion that though there are some benefits modified trees promise to bring to us, there are more problems and cost arising up.
First of all, the reading tells that modified trees are more likely to survive because of their harder characteristic. While, the professor says that even though they are harder(你這裡需要具體些,不管說harder), it doesn't mean they have morepossibility to survive. The natural trees are very diverse, so some will be survive when some of them die due to big changes in the environment such as climate changes(還有insect,多點細節最好). But the genetically modified tress are usually uniform(這個獎的不清楚,是講genetic unify,你這個有歧義),all of them are more likely to die when facing big environmental changes. (有三處細節沒講到)
Secondly, the professor points out that there are many hidden costs of genetically modified trees which are contradicting with the author's expectation. On the one hand, the seeds of genetically modified trees are much more expensive. On the other hand, farmers have to pay the companies every time they want to grow.
Furthermore, genetically modified trees not only will not protect the natural trees, but also take over them, according to the professor, because the genetically modified trees rob the nutrition, water and sunlight from natural trees. Eventually they will take place of natural trees because they grow much more aggressively than the natural trees.

Do you agree or disagree with the followingstatement? In the past, it was easier for people to identify what types ofcareer or job would lead to a secure, successful future?

Overpopulation and fierce competition makeit difficult for people to find a secure career or job. Many people have tochange their jobs from one to another. However, it is unsoundness to say thatit is more difficult to for people to identify what types of career or job willlead to a secure and successful future.
First of all, in the information explosionera, many kinds information related to careers are accessible for people moreeasily. When people in the old want to know inside information about a certainposition in a company, it cost them too much to get it. Cold visit is onechoice, however not all have the courage to do that. Beside it seems quite inconvenientfor a people in a rural area to do, because there are few companies. Instead, today internet is available all over the world, wherever you live. Open thelaptop and click your mouse, you can get all that you want. Even for the urbanpeople, it increases the efficiency and possibility of success when they searchmore information before they decide to make a cold visit, such as where yourdreaming company is, the schedule of the insiders, or how you can begin the conversationwith them. In a word, the more information you know before you do, the lagerthe probability you will be successful in the future.
Secondly, thanks to the openness of modernpeople, they are more willing to share the experience with each other. Oneperson holds one apple and the other one holds one apple, they still own anapple when they share. But when they share the information with the other side, the case is totally different, they have tow now. For example, in the senioryear of college life, many students in our class need to pay attention to thejob information. But a person has limited energy and time to search it. There comesa good idea, our head teacher encourages us to share the information with eachother, reminding each other of the recruiting information and dateline they personallyknow. In this way, we benefit from this kind of behavior very much. All thestudents in the class find their interested internship this year. On the contrary, people in the past are not as open as today’s people and they usually regard thepersonal information as priority. This type of perspective cause disadvantageswhen they identify their future career.
Furthermore, just like the Newton said, standing on the shoulder of the previous people, you can see the farther scenery.Today, to find a successful idol is a very efficient way for us to make asuccess when we identify our future career. On the one hand, when you face thesame problem in the way just like him or her, you need not bother toconsidering solution. You can just imitate him or her. On the other hand, theidol is the best motivation for you when you encounter the setbacks, encourage youto go ahead. Then you will make fewer mistakes when you do a job. Eventually, you will never fear to be fired one day.
To sum up, complaining of modern peopleabout the difficulty of finding a secure job is usually the excuse for theirfailure. We are supposed to make use of what we own and never dare aboutproblems, and then we will make a success in the end.

The reading passage argues that ethanol is not a good replacement for gasoline for several reasons. However, in the opinions of the professor, the three reasons are not convincing.

First of all, according to the reading passage, the increased use of ethanol fuel would add to the global warming, because of the carbon dioxide they release, trapping heat in the atmosphere. The professor refuses the author's idea because the growth period of the plants counteracts the release of carbon dioxide. They absorb it as part of nutrition when they grow, so it will not release that huge global warming as a result.

Second, as the professor claimed, the production of significant amounts of ethanol would not reduce the amounts of food for animals, which contradicts with what the author points out. The professor uses the same example provided by the author. However, the professor thinks that the scientist can get ethanol by using the parts of corn that are not animals feed on. So producing ethanol will not, as the author expected, cut down the available food for animals to eat.

Finally, though now the price of ethanol fuel is higher than its normal level, which needs the governments' subsidies to control its price just as the opinion that the reading tells us, the professor said that these subsidies are necessary in the short run. If the production of ethanol fuel increases by three times, the price of ethanol fuel will be reduced by 40%. Then in the long run, ethanol fuel is cheap enough to compete with gasoline.

To sum up, the professor still support the alternative way to gasoline in the future.

The reading passage castslights on three possible reasons for the declining of yellow cedar. Theprofessor's lecture covers the same topic, however, with a totally oppositeattitude that all the three reasons in the reading passage is not convincing.Likewise, the professor also utilizes three distinctive points to justify hisperspective.

To begin with, the professorrefuses the idea in the reading passage that the cedar bark beetles cause thedecline of yellow cedar. On the contrary, he asserts that yellow cedars aremore resistant than other tress to the attack of insect parasites. To be specific, the professor's claim is grounded on a characteristic of yellow cedar, whichmeans that there is a kind of chemical which are poisonous to insects. Apparently, professor's idea is incompatible with that in the reading.

Moreover, as well defined as itsounds in the reading that the decline of yellow cedar population attributes tobrown bears, the professor's statement once again contradicts with the passage. The professor contends that bear cannot be the reason and provided with theevidence that no matter whether there are bears or not, the yellow cedarpopulations declined similarly in mainland and island.

Additionally, the professorpoints out that the changes of climate are also not to blame. Because, if thefreezing damages the population, then the yellow cedar should be damaged morein high cold area, however, it is not the fact. The lower and warmer area'spopulations are damaged more seriously. The professor doubts the correctness ofthe points made in the reading.

In conclusion, the professorprecisely discerns the drawbacks of the reading passage and convincinglyreveals that the fundamental argument in the passage should be reexamined withclose security.

Someone argues that the main role of a university professor is to educate students rather than to do research. But others have opposite view on this. In my perspective, professors are supposed to give priority to doing research.

First of all, the research could have great importance in the real world and could one day lead to real breakthroughs, like discovering a new method to cure cancer. This research could make a difference our world. It, therefore, seems fair that a professor should spend more time doing research than giving lectures to students.

Moreover, if a professor’s research was successful it could benefit the university and the students in two ways. On the one hand, the university would be able to receive grants and funding to continue with further research. This money would help the university improve their research facilities, which would benefit the students who use these facilities. On the other hand, recognition of the research would improve the reputation and standing of the university, which is something that would also benefit the students who studied there by association.

Additionally, a professor who continues to do research is more likely to keep up with recent development and forefront of the field, making him or her more a knowledgeable teacher and more likely to be an enthusiastic teacher, willing to share new discoveries with students. To sum up, researches not only benefit the teachers themselves, but also bring much more advantages to students, university and even the whole world. It should, therefore, be given precedence over teaching, which does not mean that professors could neglect their duties to their student, but focus more on their researches.

When people chase happiness, people think of different ways, including having a high-pay job, having some social life, or going trip to relax them. As far as I am concerned, a job is the fundamental source of happiness.

First of all, a job satisfies people's basic living requirement, without which, there won't be happiness. And at the same time a high-pay job usually improves the quality of people's living condition. When food or houses are not accessible for a person, she or he must live in fear, worrying about tomorrow's living. During the financial crisis, a lot of people lost their jobs. And at that time they were very depressed, anxious about their living cost and their children's education fees. That's way so many people eager to find a job, even though the job could not compete with their previous one.

In addition, many people obtain happiness from the sense of achievement, which they could get from a job. Just like those workaholics, they work hard not only because the money earned from a job, but also the self-satisfaction they could achieve in the job. When applying what they learned in schools to the practical work, completing a difficult project by themselves, making a big success and profits for their companies, they won the applaud from others and the self-confidence in the meanwhile.

Finally, without a job, we are too embarrassed to have some social life, such as friends' get-together. For example, when I went to have a party with my classmates, some of them usually did not present in the party. At first, I am very confused about the phenomenon. However, it was so surprising that last summer vacation, a classmate of mine came to the annual party. When we asked him why he never came in the previous parties, he told us that he was embarrassed that he was in the bottom of his career those years. And at that time, he refused to see anyone and surrounded by a feeling of failure, though he missed us very much.

To sum up, a job is of great importance for us to obtain happiness. Without which, our living demand cannot be met, our psychological condition cannot be satisfies, and sometimes even social life may become impossible for us.

Due to the problem of overpopulation, therecomes up a new way of workworking at homeinstead of working in the company. However, not all people are willing to acceptit. Some people concern about the loss of efficiency of employees, while some worryabout the sense of cooperation pales then. As far as I am concerned, there isof little necessity for the anxiety.   Moreover,it brings us more advantages as follows.

To begin with, working at home improves ourenvironment by relieving the congestion of public transportation and cuttingdown the emission of greenhouse gases. When people are allowed to work at home, there is no need for so many people to pour into the streets, subways and buses. As a result, the phenomenon of crowed transportations will be relieved.Besides, the consumption of cars will decrease, which are helpful to reduce thedischarge of greenhouse gases and improve our environment in the end.

Furthermore, transportation costs take up alarge part of people’s living expenses, so working at home means that peoplecould save the transportation costs and then make better use of their income. Ionce did an internship in a company which is one hour way away from our school.Every day, I need to catch a bus first and then transfer to a subway back andforce, paying ten RMB for it. Though it seems not much, for an intern’s pay itis not the same thing. On the contrary, if I can work at home, I need not topay for it but can complete my task at the same time.

In addition, it not only will not decreaseefficiency of employees as some people expected, but also lead to efficiencyadvance. According to a famous research conducted by some professors in ourcountry, a small break in the noon can refresh the employees’ state of mental, leading to a 10 percent increase in their working efficiency. When people workin the company, it is not possible for people to have a break, either because ofuncomfortable environment in the company or because of the anxiety about thecriticism from employers. While, working at home cannot cause these worry.

To sum up, working at home not onlycontributes to the efficiency and living quality of employees, but also benefitsour whole society. There is no reason for us to keep it from become a modernway of working.

The reading passage casts lights on the bad effects of "let it burn" policy. The professor covers the same topic in the listening material, however, with a totally opposite attitude that forest fire is not destructive but creative for the balance of ecological system. She explained her viewpoints in terms of the fire's effects on vegetation, animals and tourist attractions.

To begin with, the author in the reading states that tremendous damage is caused by the Yellowstone fires. On the contrary, the professor diffuses it for the reason that the Yellowstone fires create an appealing habitat for some small trees to survive. On the one hand, the areas which many big trees and plants live in are now suitable for the small trees which need unshed places to survive. On the other hand, the seeds of some species have grown very high, thanks to the high heat the fire brings to them, which are very helpful for their growth.

Moreover, the reading states that the fire affects large animals to a large extent. Once again, the professor holds the different opinion that many animals not only recover from the big fire, but also have new opportunity to grow. For instance, rabbits and hares have a better habitat when the small trees replaced the large ones grew there before the fire. When the rabbits and hares are thriving, so do the animals which depend on the small animals for food.

Additionally, contradictory to what the reading says, according to the professor, the tourist will not be affected by the fire, since the fire does not occur frequently the reading says. The Yellowstone fire is just an unusual one. So tourists can come back to the area next year and even each year after the fire.

To sum up, the professor precisely discerns the drawbacks of the reading passage and convincingly reveals that the fundamental argument in the passage should be reexamined.

The reading passage is suspicious about the roles of buzzers. The man covers the same topic in the lecture, however, with a totally opposite attitude that buzzers are not misleading customers to buy products. Likewise, the man also utilizes three distinctive points to justify his perspective.

To begin with, the man refuses the idea in the reading that buzzers are those people who have motive for misleading the customers. On the contrary, he asserts (这个词不错)that though buzzers are paid by the company, they are truly products users. To be specific, the man claims that he was hired by a phone company to say something about the phone he bought just because the he really found it is very good. Apparently, the man’s idea is incompatible(词虽好,但你不要用这个词,应该表达强硬点的观点,比如fairly unwarranted) with that in the reading.

Moreover, as well defined as it sounds, the reading argues that customers are easily cheated by buzzers. The man’s statement once again contradicts with the passage. The man contends that it is stupid to think so and provided with the evidence that the customers usually asked him a lot of questions about the price and service about the products and how long he had used this product when he was a buzzer. If he cannot answer the questions, the customers would not believe him and buy the product.

Additionally, the passage points out that, people will be less trustful of social relationship as the consequence of this kind of marketing method. The man challenges this conclusion by arguing that one the one hand(on one hand吧~), the company does not necessary to hire buzzers if their products are very bad, and one the other hand (on the other hand哦,记住咯~)buzzers can share their feeling about using a product to customers. Each person will have a feeling about a product and if they agree with the points of buzzers, people will become more trustful and even more open in our world(后面那个more open感觉不好~people will be more open你懂啥意思,精神层面,性格方面都可以说,用这表达不好!).

In conclusion, the man precisely discerns the drawbacks of the reading passage and convincingly reveals that the fundamental argument in the reading should be reexamined.(总结不错)

Currently, education plays a significant role in our daily life and the whole society. Almost all the parents instinctively devote themselves to cultivating their offspring. As a result, young generation seems to receive more resources and access to be educated. While whether people are now easier to become educated than in the past is a controversial issue. It is nature that people from different background might have diverse viewpoints on the same argument. As to me, however, I hold the opinion that people now are absolutely easier to become educated than in the past.
First and foremost, with the help of technology, such as internet, television and radio, people nowadays have more means to obtain the knowledge than did their counterparts. For instance, when I prepared for my CFA last year, I took online courses so that I could download the teaching videos of the most famous teacher in the field and watch them whenever I wanted. It is very convenient for us students who have no stable time to go to the real training class due to the overtime work or long distance between  homes  and the training center.  But for the people in the past, perhaps they had to choose to study by themselves if they faced the same situation. Thus, high technology enlarges available education accesses students could get to.
Furthermore, the skyrocketing numbers of universities and improvements of families’ economic condition make it realistic for students to obtain professional training about their favorite majors. A recent research shows that more than seventy percent of the students successfully graduated from high school and choose to enter into university, doubling the enrollment ratios ten years before.
Admittedly, there are more distractions nowadays which easily drag student’s attention away from their study. For example, students are more addicted in computer games or soap opera which take up a lot of time when students are supposed to be studying. However, the proportions of hard-working students are still dominated, entertainments are only a method students use to enhance their efficiency of studying.
To sum up, advanced technology and ample resources arguable make it easier for students to become educated, though distractions do exist to affect students’ study sometimes.

On the contrary, the professor
diffuses(是不是拼错了呀,这是弥漫扩散的意思~) it for the reason that the Yellowstone fires create an appealing habitat for some small trees to survive. On the one hand, the areas which many big trees and plants live in are now suitable for the small trees which need unshed(这是未散发的意思啊)places to survive.

Good

Additionally, contradictory to what the reading says, according to the professor, the tourist
(加是会好点吧) will not be affected by the fire, since the fire does not occur frequently as the reading says. The Yellowstone fire is just an unusual one. So tourists can come back to the area next year and even each year after the fire.

To sum up, the professor precisely discerns the drawbacks of the reading passage and convincingly reveals that the fundamental argument in the passage should be reexamined.

Good And hope our paper will not fall into the same guy.

Currently, people live more dependently on others, especially our friends. In other words, we cannot live in a world without friends. While, considering the criterion of choosing friends, there comes an issuewhether it is important to choose friends that have fun with or choosing friends that will help you when you need them. It is nature that people from different backgrounds might have diverse viewpoints on the same argument. As to me, however, just as the saying goes” a friend in need is a friend indeed”, I hold the opinion that a helpful friend is much more appealing.
First and foremost, having fun with a friend is temporary, but helping each other has far-reaching influence on our life. For instance, I have a lot of contacts of people that I make acquaintance in the party. But the numbers of this kind of friends is so large that it is possible for me to make close contacts with them though we have a lot of fun at that time. More typically, we lose our friendship due to some realistic reasons, such as one of us moving to another city. To make my demonstration more comprehensively, I would like to refer to the story of my father, who is a businessman. Once a time, he took me to participate in a party with him. It seemed that all of them were very familiar with each other like friends. But I was surprised to hear that my father could not call up all their names. My father than explained to me that fun is a feeling having nothing to do with relationship with each other. And, to the contrary, the most long-lasting friends are those people who can help the opposite side.
Moreover, another essential point worth being mentioned is that when people get into trouble, they may be not in the mood to have fun, in which case friends that have fun with cannot play their role. According to a recent published paper from a well-known psychological professor reveals that when people fall into a trouble, they would like to assume physical pain in order to ease their psychological depression. As a result, having fun will not only solve problems for them but also making them more depressed after the fun. However, the presence of a helpful friend is another thing, they will drag us out of the trouble
In addition, those friends that we have fun with are usually those people who either are not willing to offer help or have no ability to help us. From common sense and the experience from my daily life, I once experienced a robbery and lost all the possessions. Helplessly, I asked my acquaintances for help, in the end none of those I usually have fun with offered me a hand. I was moved that the one that I never regarded as a friend eventually helped me. And after that, we became best friends and began to know well with each other.
To sum up, choosing friends have many intends. As for me, I cannot emphasize the importance of choosing friends that are willing to help us when we face a problem.

Due to the problem of overpopulation, there comes up a new way of work—working at home instead of working in the company. However, not all people are willing to accept it. Some people concern about the loss of efficiency of employees, while (while用错了,你前后都是一种观点,没必要用while)some worry about the sense of(我不知道有没有这种表达说the sense of cooperation的,第一次看到) cooperation pales(词用得不错) then. As far as I am concerned, there is of little necessity for the anxiety. Moreover, it brings us more advantages as follows.

To begin with, working at home improves our environment by relieving the congestion of public transportation and cutting down the emission of greenhouse gases. When people are allowed to work at home, there is no need for so many people to pour into the streets, subways and buses. As a result, the phenomenon of crowed transportations will be relieved. Besides, the consumption of cars will decrease, which are helpful to reduce the discharge of greenhouse gases and improve our environment in the end.
(这个观点很不错! 很新颖!)

Furthermore, transportation costs take up a large part of people’s living expenses, so working at home means that people could save the transportation costs and then make better use of their income. I once did an internship in a company which is one hour way away from our school. Every day, I need to catch a bus first and then transfer to a subway back and force, paying ten RMB for it. Though it seems not much(这是个句子?), for an intern’s pay it is not the same thing. On the contrary, if I can work at home, I need not to pay for it but can complete my task at the same time.

In addition, it not only will not decrease efficiency of employees as some people expected, but also lead to efficiency advance. According to a famous research(就算编,你也得编个机构出来哦,这个很泛~`) conducted by some professors in our country, a small break in the noon can refresh the employees’ state of mental(refresh就OK了,还要refresh状态? 很chinglish哦), leading to a 10 percent increase in their working efficiency. When people working the company(你这个缺介词,也没必要加ing), it is not possible for people to have a break, either because of uncomfortable environment in the company or because of the anxiety about the criticism from employers. While, working at home cannot cause these worry.

To sum up, working at home not only contributes to the efficiency and living quality of employees, but also benefits our whole society. There is no reason for us to keep it from become a modern way of working.

总体来说观点不错,结构清晰明了,但部分表达不要chinglish就很好了, good !

The reading passage casts light on three ways to address the decline of Torreya. The professor in the lecture covers the same topic, however, with a totally opposite attitude that all these three ways will not provide us with satisfactory solution. The professor also utilizes three distinctive points to justify his viewpoints.
To begin with, the professor refuses the idea of the reading that we can reestablish Torreya in the same location in which it thrived for thousands of years. On the contrary, the professor contends that reestablishing Torreya in the location cannot make effects. To be specific, the professor claims that on the one hand, the global warming has caused the overall temperature to rise. As a result the microclimate will never be a favorable habitat for Torreya. On the other hand, the professor points out that wet land there was drained and becomes drier already, not suitable for Torreya to grow any longer. Evidently, the professor’s idea is incompatible with that of the reading.
Moreover, as well defined as it seems in the reading that moving Torreya to an entirely different location is another option. The professor challenges this final down once again, and he asserts that a kind of tree called Black locust spreads quickly after being moved to a new area and causes a lot endangered trees to die. Clearly, taking the unpredicted outcome into consideration, the professor doubts the correctness of the point in the reading passage.
In addition, the reading passage points out that preserving Torreya in research centers may be a possible choice for us. The professor's statement contradicts with this point. According to the professor, in the research center, Torreya will not be able to resist disease because the research center has not the large enough capacity to ensure the genetically diversity of Torreya. Apparently, the credibility of the conception in the reading begins to shrink when thinking about the limitation of a research center.
To sum up, the professor precisely discerns the drawbacks of the reading and convincingly reveals that the fundamental arguments in the reading needs to be reexamined with close scrutiny.

Moreover, another essential point worth being mentioned is that when people get into trouble, they may be not in the mood to have fun, in which case friends that have fun with cannot play their role. Asked what professors will do to become recognized, the responses in universities have a boilerplate answer: the greatest contribution from researches will be to keep entire society appreciating their knowledge. I, given the chance, also prefer to endorse that researchers should have primary consideration.

First and foremost, further evidence of researches’ potential comes from the benefits they generate in our world. Several years ago, cancer cannot be cured due to lack of technology in the medical field. Thanks to the medical researches these years, a person needn’t to be anxious or depressed after hearing being attacked by cancers. Also, recently professor Wang from Peking University made a significant discovery about Aids. His paper reveals that it is possible the aids could be treated within ten years in the near future. If what he predicts is true, patients who suffer from the Aids will not die. This is undisputable a piece of surprising news to our world. However, were not devoted himself into his research, Wang would not have this discovery so early in his lifetime, as a result postponing the contribution to our world.
Moreover, another essential point worth being mentioned is that researches done by professors benefits students a lot. On the one hand, professors may introduce what their research findings to the class. These findings are more up-to-date knowledge, which will arouse students’ interests to a large extent. On the other hand, beside direct benefits, there is an indirect one as well. As we know, the professors’ researches contribute to the reputation of schools students study in. We cannot neglect the fact that big titles of schools do play an important role in their students’ careers. The higher reputation the schools have, the more easily the students will hunt a job after graduation.

In addition, fame and high-pay earned by doing research are also motivation for professors to move on. To make my demonstration more comprehensively, I would like to refer to professors in our school. Giving lectures is regarded as their responsibility. No matter how well they teach in the classes, we cannot attribute the students’ outstanding performances to lessons they attend. Because the outcome is affected by too many factors, among which students’ own talents and efforts cannot distinguished from it. More commonly, the professors’ pay and fame are valued more based on their researches. The more papers they published, the higher pay and fame they will obtain, driving them to be more devoted to academic.

After ruminating over all these factors, it is more advantageous for us to make decision alone. As far as I am concerned, I come to the notion that professors should dedicate themselves more into doing researches.

The reading passage casts light on the benefits of salvage logging. The professor covers the same topic, however, with a totally opposite attitude that though salvage logging may have short-term benefits, it has more serious long-term damage. Likewise, the professor utilizes three diverse points to justify his own perspective.

To begin with, the professor refuses the idea in the reading that forests are chocked with dead trees. On the contrary, the professor contends that cutting down all the dead trees not necessary provides better condition for live, healthy trees. To be specific, the decomposition of the dead trees provides nutrition for the live trees. So removing the dead trees can affect the nutrition of live, health trees. Clearly, the professor's idea is incompatible with the reading.

Furthermore, as well defined as the points made in the reading, the professor's statement contradicts with the reading. He asserts that on one hand, the spruce barks do not cause many damages without cutting down the dead trees before, and on the other hand, decaying wood provides habitat not only for harmful insects, but also offer the suitable habitat for birds and other insets. Having taken into the long-term effects, the professor argues that the advantages of dead trees overweigh the disadvantages. Clearly, the credibility of the reading begins to shrink then.

In addition, the reading passage also points out that salvage logging has economic benefits. The professor once again challenges the final down by arguing that the benefits are temporary. Because the transportation fees using the vehicles like helicopters are very high and the jobs it creates usually benefits the experienced employees in the other areas, not the local people. Evidently, the professor doubts the correctness of the point in the reading.

To sum up, the professor precisely discerns the drawbacks in the reading and suggests the fundamental reasons and evidences in the reading needs to be reexamined with scrutiny.

The reading passage casts light on the negative effects of private ownership of rare and important fossils. The professor covers the same topic, however, with a totally opposite attitude that the benefits of this phenomenon overweigh the disadvantages. Likewise, the professor also utilizes three distinctive points to justify his perspective.

First and foremost, the professor refuses that idea in the reading that the public suffers because of less exposion to these fossils. On the contrary, the professor asserts that private ownership of these fossils make it possible for some level public institutions like public schools to own them and show them to the public. Cleary, the professor's idea is incompatible with that of the reading.

Furthermore, as well defined as the points in the reading that scientists are likely to lose access to some of the most important fossils and thereby miss out on potentially crucial discoveries about extinct life forms. The professor challenges the final down by arguing that before the private owners decide to buy fossils, they will pass them on to the hands of scientists to test the value of them. Instead fewer chances to touch these fossils, the scientists can have the priority and chances to see them. The professor's statement doubts the correctness of the point in the reading.

In addition, the reading also states that commercial fossil collectors often destroy valuable scientific evidence associated with the fossils they unearth because of the limited knowledge concerning fossils. However, the professor's point once again contradicts with the reading'. He contends that comparing with the bad effects of keeping a lot of fossils unearthed and unknown to our world, such damage is not worth mention. Evidently, the credibility of the point in the reading begins to shrink.

To sum up, the professor discerns the drawbacks of the points in the reading and convincingly reveals that the fundamental arguments in the reading need to be reexamined with close scrutiny.

Perhaps on issue in this world is as significant to friends as honesty. Despite various responses people may have on the topic concerning the issue regarding whether it is possible to completely honest their friends. I, given the chance, prefer to endorse that completely honest should have been take primary consideration when making and keeping a friend.

First and foremost, every person hates to be cheated in all cases. Maybe someone may concerns that white lies are necessary in special conditions. However, I hold the opposite view with that perspective. To be specific, my grandfather causes a cancer last year. All our family members decided to hide the truth, only telling him that he could recover soon. Just as I expected, my grandfather knew very well about his body condition and became more anxious and depressed about our responses. I believe, all people have the right to know all related to themselves, including bad news.

Furthermore, another point worth being mentioned in that telling lies may become a practice, if not being prevented at the early stage. According to a psychology research conducted by professor Wang in Peking University reveals that people are unwilling to mend the drawbacks of themselves until they receive the idea they are really wrong, or they will reject to make a change. My friend Tom is an exact example, he always tell lies to the classmates, such as our professor will cancel the class this afternoon or the library will close tomorrow, etc. Since nobody bothered to criticize him, he now regards telling lies as interest, let alone corrects the bad habit.

In addition, completely honest is also essential to friends who are in the same workplaces with you, even though the truth is contradicted with your boss’s. Never imaging that keeping silent will bring you promotion, rather causes a big loss to your company and you and your friends to be fired. When it comes to this, I would like to refer to an experience of myself. When I interned for a phone company, a college of mind found a big bug in a new product that was waiting to be marketed. He hesitated to report his finding to the company. As a result, this bug causes the whole company to collapse and all the employees to lose their jobs.

After ruminating over all the three reasons, it is great advantageous for us to make a decision alone. As far as I am concerned, I would like to not that friends are likely to keep entirely honest to their friends and I value the completely honesty as the most important factor to evaluate a person.

The reading passage casts light on the benefits of salvage logging. The professor covers the same topic, however, with a totally opposite attitude that though salvage logging may have short-term benefits, it has more serious long-term damage. Likewise, the professor utilizes three diverse points to justify his own perspective.

To begin with, the professor refuses(refutes会不会更好一点?仅供参考) the idea in the reading that forests are chocked with dead trees. On the contrary, the professor contends that cutting down all the dead trees (缺词,is 或者does)not necessary provides better condition for live, healthy trees.

He(She?我听的是女版的)asserts that on one hand, the spruce barks do not cause many damages without cutting down the dead trees before, and on the other hand, decaying wood provides habitat not only for harmful insects, but also offer(s) the suitable habitat for birds and other insets.(这句有点长,可以分开成两句) Having taken into the long-term effects, the professor argues that the advantages of dead trees overweigh the disadvantages. Clearly, the credibility of the reading begins to shrink then.

In addition, the reading passage also points out that salvage logging has economic benefits. The professor once again challenges the final down by arguing that the benefits are temporary. Because the transportation fees using(直接用of吧) the vehicles like helicopters are very high(fee一般用expensive?cost用high) and the jobs it creates usually benefits the experienced employees in the other areas, not the local people. Evidently, the professor doubts the correctness of the point in the reading.

To sum up, the professor precisely discerns the drawbacks in the reading and suggests the fundamental reasons and evidences in the reading needs to be reexamined with scrutiny.

1.听得很全
2.模板很强大,但是痕迹有点明显,稍微修改一下?

Perhaps on issue in this world is as significant to friends as honesty. Despite various responses people may have on the topic concerning the issue regarding whether it is possible to completely honest their friends. I, given the chance, prefer to endorse that completely honest should have been take primary consideration when making and keeping a friend.

First and foremost, every person hates to be cheated in all cases. Maybe someone may concerns that white lies are necessary in special conditions. However, I hold the opposite view with that perspective.(这句观点表达的不错,结合下面的例子非常convincing) To be specific, my grandfather causes a cancer last year. All our family members decided to hide the truth, only telling him that he could recover soon. Just as I expected, my grandfather knew very well about his body condition and became more anxious and depressed about our responses. I believe, all people have the right to know all related to themselves, including bad news. (这个例子好)

Furthermore, another point worth being mentioned in that telling lies may become a practice, if not being prevented at the early stage. According to a psychology research conducted by professor Wang in Peking University reveals that(有according就可以omit掉了哈) people are unwilling to mend(amend the drawbacks of themselves until they receive the idea they are really wrong, or they will reject to make a change. My friend Tom is an exact example, he always tell lies to the classmates, such as our professor will cancel the class this afternoon or the library will close tomorrow, etc. Since nobody bothered to criticize him, he now regards telling lies as interest, let alone corrects the bad habit.

In addition, completely honest(adj作主语了) is also essential to friends who are in the same workplaces with you, even though the truth is contradicted with your boss’s. Never imaging that keeping silent will bring you promotion, rather causes a big loss to your company and you and your friends to be fired. When it comes to this, I would like to refer to an experience of myself. When I interned for a phone company, a college of mind(mine?) found a big bug in a new product that was waiting to be marketed. He hesitated to report his finding to the company. As a result, this bug causes the whole company to collapse and all the employees to lose their jobs.

After ruminating over all the three reasons, it is great advantageous for us to make a decision alone. As far as I am concerned, I would like to not(?) that friends are likely to keep entirely honest to their friends and I value the completely honesty as the most important factor to evaluate a person.

The reading passage casts light on the negative effects of private ownership of rare and important fossils. The professor covers the same topic, however, with a totally opposite attitude that the benefits of this phenomenon overweigh the disadvantages. Likewise, the professor also utilizes three distinctive points to justify his (her 女教授吧)perspective.

First and foremost, the professor refuses that idea in the reading that the public suffers because of less exposion(exposure) to these fossils. On the contrary, the professor asserts that private ownership of these fossils make(-s 主语是单数) it possible for some level public institutions like public schools to own them and show them to the public.

He (she) contends that comparing with the bad effects of keeping a lot of fossils unearthed and unknown to our world, such damage is not worth mention. Evidently, the credibility of the point in the reading begins to shrink.

To sum up, the professor discerns the drawbacks of the points in the reading and convincingly reveals that the fundamental arguments in the reading need to be reexamined with close scrutiny.

楼主词用的很赞呢,有很多很好的小词。只有一个小建议,可以少写一点阅读里面的内容,如果太多就把听力的内容比下去了~~个人意见哈,学习啦!

Perhaps no issue in this worldis as significant to people as success. Despite various responses people mayhave concerning this issue regarding that whether people should be like othersor be different from everyone else. The response in the China Daily has aboilerplate answer: successful people are always showing outstanding behaviorsin their young age. I, given the chance, prefer to endorse that in order tosucceed people should be different from others.

First and foremost, people whoare different are much easier to be noticed by others. As my brother'sexperience aptly illustrates, he, who got bad academic performance inuniversity, is not a traditionally good student in China. Quitting hisuniversity life, he had to find a job. However, it seemed that he failed at thetime being in surrounding people's eyes. However, no one called up his unique advantageof marketing skills. Since he was young, he has been very active in analyzingpeople's reaction during sales, both from the angle of salespersons andcustomers and then making a conclusion about how to satisfy customers' demandin different ways .For a young man, it is surely valuable to master the skillswhich catch the sight of his boss to recruit him into a big PR company in ourcountry and have an outstanding working performance. At present, he owns hisown company. Clearly, successful people should at least have a different pointfrom others.

Moreover, another point worthbeing mentioned is that people who are different from others are more creative, which is very important in certain field. For instance, the Bill Gates, afamous businessman in our world always thought out of diverse and specialsolutions to solve problems when he operated his company. Just the creativityhelps him to make a big success in this era.

In addition, people who aredifferent from others are intelligent enough to avoid imitation others, which maylead to priority problem. For example, a advertisement company in our provincecollapsed due to the reason that one designer in this company copied a plan ofthe other company, in the end, not only failing to earn profits, but alsocausing the whole company and himself to lose the reputation in this field. Thelesson from the case is that keep different is essential to people, especially insome kind of careers.

After ruminating over all the three factors, it is of advantageous for us to make a decision alone. I would like to note that in order tobecome success people should avoid imitating others, but stay different fromothers.

First and foremost, people who are different are much easier to be noticed by others. As my brother's experience aptly illustrates, he, who got bad academic performance in university, is not a traditionally good student in China. Quitting his university life, he had to find a job. However,(后面还有一个however, 这个不要吧) it seemed that he failed at the time being in surrounding people's eyes. However, no one called up his unique advantage of marketing skills. Since he was young, he has been very active in analyzing people's reaction during sales, both from the angle of salespersons and customers and then making a conclusion about how to satisfy customers' demand in different ways .For a young man, it is surely valuable to master the skills which catch(caught) the sight of his boss to recruit him into a big PR company in our country and have(had) an outstanding working performance(这句是不是应该用过去式,应该后面写的是现在). At present, he owns his own company. Clearly, successful people should at least have a different point from others.

Moreover, another point worth being mentioned is that people who are different from others are more creative, which is very important in certain field. Just the creativity helps him to make a big success in this era.

In addition, people who are different from others are intelligent enough to avoid imitation others(感觉应该是avoid imitating others 或者avoid imitation,), which may lead to priority problem. For example, a (an) advertisement company in our province collapsed due to the reason that one designer in this company copied a plan of the other company, in the end, not only failing to earn profits, but also causing the whole company and himself to lose the reputation in this field.(这句话好长,可以分成两句写) The lesson from the case is that keep different is essential to people, especially in some kind of careers.

After ruminating over all the three factors, it is of advantageous (is of + n= adj 这里应该用个名词) for us to make a decision alone. I would like to note that in order to become success(应该用adj. successful) people should avoid imitating others, but stay different from others.

楼主的例子都很充实,句子变化也很多,只有一个建议 貌似介绍人的时候 人,插入语,。。。。。。的句式有点多~~可以换成 as a famous businessman in our world, Bill Gates… 或者别的.    学习了!

The reading passage casts light on the whether the environmental pollutionor attacks by predators have the more possibilities that lead to the decline ofsea otter population. The professor covers the same topic, however, with a totallyopposite attitude. According to the professor, decline of sea otter populationsare more likely caused by being attacked by predators. Likewise, the professor utilizes three distinctivepoints to justify his perspectives.

First and foremost, theprofessor refutes the idea in the reading passage that the industrial chemicalstested in the water samples could contribute to the otters' death. On thecontrary, the professor contends that we cannot make this conclusion because nodead otters were found on the beaches. To be specific, if the otters were killed by pollution, they should bevisible in the beaches. While, thephenomenon can be explained by predators attack theory. Evidently, theprofessor's idea is incompatible with the reading passage.

Moreover, as well defined as the point made in thereading, the professor once again contradicts with the reading by assertingthat the because of the human hunters, otters' predators have to change theirdiet. Without enough large animals toeat, they will turn to small animals. That's why smallanimals are also declining. Having taken the human’s intervention intoconsideration, the professor doubts the correctness of the reading passage.

In addition, the reading passage points out that unevenpattern of otter decline are induced by the different population distribution. The professor challenges the final down. He asserts that some locations are notaccessible to their predators. As a result, otters in those places do not showa decline. Clearly, the credibility of the conception in the reading begins toshrink when thinking about the characteristic of both otters and theirpredators pinpointed by the professor.

To sum up, the professor precisely discerns the drawbacksof the reading and convincingly reveals that the fundamental argument in thereading needs to be reexamined with close scrutiny.
