25题B的og解释为：the pronoun it does not have a clear reference, 但我觉得这里的it可以很清晰的指代到picture（均在可以看做宾语位置上），但
28题C的og上的解释并没有提出it指代有问题，只说应该放到主谓宾前变成：Buildingon civilizations that preceded them in coastal Peru
and basing it on the cultivation of ....the Mochica developed their own elaborate society
building 和basing 修饰 the Mochica,it 指代elaborate society

问题：为什么25题B的it指代有问题，而28题的C指代没有问题（感觉他们的it所放置的位置是相同的啊~~~~）

这题和it没有关系，不要纠结，就没basing on这个用法 sth is based on。。。是可以的，28题是修饰society；25题把it拿掉也是错的

umm

根据语法地位来，还有逻辑含义

第一题的it是处于宾语的位置，类似于宾语

与它同等地位的有sketchy picture 还有 godness （这时到底指代哪一个不知道）

而且GMAT的SC是不需要我们有任何的专业知识的，it无论指代哪一个都make sense （所以存在了歧义）

第二题的it就是指代society

developed ...society ，and basing it

所以这里的it 和society语法地位相当（只能指代society）

指代单数的fish或其他，尽管有可能agree with number

但是明显不符合逻辑（这属于common sense的范围，非专业人士都能判断出句意不符合逻辑）
