建议别交6000刀，一是浪费钱，二是败RP。

Candidates have decided that Columbia is their first choice and must sign the following statement of commitment within their applications: I am committed to attending Columbia Business School and will withdraw all applications and decline all offers from other schools upon admission to Columbia Business School.
这不去不光是败人品了吧。。。

我觉得学校对ED还是挺严肃的，当然拒掉ED offer的人也确实是大有人在，学校也不会说啥，估计也习惯了，ethical dilemma吧~~~

人家还有普通的round，只不过中国人不怎么申请罢了。因为在-10%的录取概率和-RP之间，至少有相当一部分的中国精英会选择后者。
美国会不会有被ed的学校录了，但不去的人。肯定有，但是人家是冒着身败名裂的风险，“偷偷摸摸”地做的，因为美国是一个信誉社会，如果被查出，就等于在仕途上被判了死刑。
我们不怕，一是因为信誉本身在我们价值体系中的分量就相对较轻，二是即使在美国被判了死刑，在中国一样可以前程似锦，唐骏就是一个典型的例子。ed对我们的约束相较于美国人少了很多，所以我们“败RP”的人稍微多点也属正常。
只不过现在有越来越多的人“见小偷偷东西没被抓住，就认为偷东西是一件正常的事”。更主要的是在这样想的人是中国最精英的人。
ED本身是优秀商学院和优秀学生之间博弈的畸形产物，但它还是有自己的规则。由衷地希望每一个中国学生都可以遵守规则。

一定去倒是不一样的，只是以后楼主会想起当初的pledge，会是怎么个想法呢，会不会一直心理有点小不安？然后如果遇到别人毁约的情况会不会郁闷还是觉得毁约generally是可以允许的？

何必要这么刻薄呢 楼主选或不选CBS 进或没进standford 是她自己的选择 和别人有什么关系 再说 就算是美国的中介 也会suggest一个CBS的ED 去保底，除了中国以外的全世界人民要是真那么厚道 那CBS也完全不用交什么deposit 直接相信大家的承诺就完了 这本来也不是一个多麽公平的条款

我觉得CBS的ED就是这个学校没有自信的表现...才出此下策和其他top B-school抢生源，所以去年权衡再三还是绕开了...anyways - 楼主是不是已经在S今年录取的群里？我是凯西，没对上号，不知道楼主是哪个。
