1）是说A substance was recently discovered 50 times sweeter than sucrose 。其中50 times sweeter than sucrose 做补足语
2）是说A substance was recently discovered from the licorice plant which is 50 times sweeter than sucrose.
自己现在比较倾向1）解释，如果按照2）这样理解是否不应该有逗号夹在from 前，而且50 times 前要有a plant 之类的名词才好啊
