B的问题在于，a part of a deal是同位语，也就要求前面一定有可以和它同位的成分出现。
但前半句，没有出现名词，可以和deal进行同位的名词，故错。
如果这么说，可以算对：The computer company conducted a purchase on Motorola, a part of the deal....
