key is E. What's wrong with A? self-examination can not help to detect the symptom, and thus can not achieve the official's goal of early detection of mouth cancer.

我觉得不是因为A选项

原文结论讲的是detection of mouth cancer ，A讲的是Many dental diseases ，不一定包括mouth cancer

因为本来目的就是early detection.那必然是检查dental diseases或者其他mouth diseases（可能是caner的前兆）,所以不包括mouth caner是合理的。

.我的理解是这样，不知道对不对？

结论：early detection of mouth cancer

论据：pamphlet describing how to examination

削弱：这些人不examination

如果证据是：pamphlet describing the effectiveness of examination答案就可以选A

还有就是证据的词眼在于how to。所以要削弱就是要削弱这个how to examination对detection有没有用,而不是examination对detection有没有用。你说什么有些病表现检查不出来，或者lump不是癌症前兆等等，那都与原文推理无关。这样想就恰好迎合了OG的对A 的解释：
