Also, the word people incorrectly shifts number from singular to plural

但是我觉得所有的精神病人都是PHYCHOPATH，

把这一类人归为PHYCHOPATH的话，IT IS IN REFERENCE TO PEOPLE我觉得正确。

就好像OG123题，

把PAPERS看成了一个整体，用了一个单数同位语一样。

此題主要考察在be-V的平衡....很明顯the term並不等於someone....所以a錯

Please pay attention to the non-underlying sentence " Although the term "psychopath" is popularly applied to an especially brutal criminal...........................

so I think ETS think singular term should refer to singular corresponding noun. BTW, E still has other errors, such as omitting main verb ( though I don't understand what it means too) and changing verb "refers" to noun "reference".
