最近可能大脑特别不好使，做prep两百多道题正确率从80%多一路掉到60%，到最后已然觉得不知道该怎么做题了……非常沮丧。但毕竟有好多问题需要解决，虽然可能很多问题在大家看起来不是问题……囧，太不好了。

我的问题在于，如果选D的话，里面的they指代的是谁？主语成分的话应该是biological traits，就近的宾语成分的话应该是products of natural selection，但因为有两个复数名词，不就应该是重复性的歧义错误了吗？

if i see (1), i eliminate.

here's an alternative rule, which is much simpler to think about:
I suggest you use this way to tackle with the pronoun issue
if you see an AMBIGUOUS PRONOUN that is SPLIT AGAINST A SPECIFIC NOUN -- i.e., it is replaced by a specific noun in other answer choices -- then you can probably feel safe in eliminating it.
if the ambiguous pronoun is NOT split against a specific noun, then you may want to think twice about eliminating it.
so，the reference of they or their is not an issue here， it should undoubtedly refer to biological traits
OG12 #6 the pronoun ambiguity of them is also not an issue
