标题: 求助关于OG13 SC 21题题干的问题
The commission has directed advertisers to restrict the use of the word natural to foods that do not contain color or flavor additives, chemical preservatives, or nothing that has been synthesized.

A. or nothing that has been

B. or that has been

C. and nothing that is

D. or anything that has been

E. and anything

题干中标红处"... foods that do not..."，为什么that可以用来修饰复数的foods啊。而且OA对于B选项不正确的原因也只是说distorts the meaning by referring to foods，意思就是说that指代foods是正确的。

求解释啊。多谢各位解答啊。

LZ可能被OG的that-clause平行的框架限制住了

经常我们在OG看到的that-clause 的平行都是 people say that....and that..这时这样的平行谁都没有问题，很快就能辨别出来

而我们要记住的一点是and or but 这3个其实都是parallel marker，我们只是平时太注重第一个而已

所以

这里OG的解释是对的

foods that .... or that （就是一个possible misinterpretation！）

despite “has been” cannot modify foods

but the structure will create faulty parallelism， and that is the point of OG

这个倒是明白了，谢谢啦。但是可否就题干中that指代复数foods的用法说说呢？按一般的语法不是应该that仅仅指代单数或者不可数名词吗，但是题干中却很明确地用that来指代复数？这个是否正确呢，还是我什么地方理解错误啦。望NN指出啊

不是做代词

that属于引导词-又叫：关系代词-属于代词，
不太清楚您是哪里有疑问，不过您好像给弄错了一点，这个that是引导从句修饰前面的中心词的，而您说的that貌似是that of ——those of 等（经常出现在比较句中，代替前面出现过的名词的那种that。。。。。这两个可是totally different）

谢谢你的回复！！那比如这句“ A surge in new home sales and a drop in weekly unemployment claims suggest that the economy might not be as weak as some analysts previously thought. 这句的THAT应该是引导词吧，并不是代替任何。因为THAT后面主谓宾都齐全。

可是这道题中THAT后面直接是谓语，为什么不是指代前面的FOODS呢？

所以说到底怎样判断？谢谢你啦

nonono。。亲，不是这么理解的。。。。

that就是指代前面的内容，但是不会是您想的那种要变成those复数，因为这里是引导词（就是关系代词），而不是那种一般性的和前文保持单复数一致的they、it之类的代词

定语从句的引导词就是修饰其先行词啊。。。。从句呀亲，，从句。。。

B选项除了指代不对，是不是还有一个错误就是加入that把前面的平行破坏了啊？
