made it it here is not point a specific thing, I think this is an common expression. for example, we made it (when we succeed in something). even in highly standard English we still can say it.

made it it here is not point a specific thing, I think this is an common expression. for example, we made it (when we succeed in something). even in highly standard English we still can say it.

你错了。it必须要有明确指示对象。而且made自己逻辑确实不通。

另外，你能说出D哪儿不比E强吗？是选最优答案。不是能自圆其说就可以的。

我觉得应该是：in 1959修饰了整个句子，所以会让人误解为in 1959, …was made into…；实际上是1959年以后被made的。

OG上有个例子，偶记不大清楚哪道啦，抱歉！

所以,A就错在and后面多了一个was

我的看法是：被修饰成分要紧跟在修饰成分后面，in 1959把这两个成分隔断了

所以
一定要用written by SB 或是
Done by SB ?

我是知道
        书本的话
        通常惯用
        会选择用[ SB’s 作品
        ] 而不用by

(GWD9-1 有类似题目)

这里是不是应该是因为in 1959修饰误置关系

A：由于前面同位语修饰的原因，用强调句既不一致又显得啰嗦。
B：in 1959 可能造成是1959演的呢还是颁奖的歧义，按原文应该是颁奖在1959
C：同位语与修饰的主语不一致。
E：同意以上made it的原因，以及我认为将BY···用双逗号隔开没有必要。

这个排出a,b,c不难，因为主语不可能和谓语分开。逗号前的xx and xx 都没有谓语，所有后面一句话一定是同谓语+动词。

强调句用it is/was开头，但前面已经有主语同位语，后面用it was在语法上行不通。

B的in 1959的位置不对，前面是同位语，后面应该主语要紧跟。GMAT语法讲究连贯，清晰，简洁。

E的made it into ...的语态应该改为被动was made。前面帖子有argue说为什么话剧可以won the award，为什么不能made it into。话剧可以获得话剧奖（人不可能获得话剧奖嘛），但话剧不能把自己“制作”成电影和音乐剧，只有“人”才能制作。

另外关于那个by，虽然在很多电视上看到，"some works, by sb." 但是这个是比较口语化的，而且观众一般都知道这个somebody和这个作品是什么关系，比如film by Spielberg大家一看就都知道是Spielberg导演，film by Jackie Chan一般就是认为成龙主演。但语法上，这个by的动作还是要出来才比较明确。

答案：D

觉得A的表达“, and was later made”有问题，如果主语跟“it was Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun that won the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award in 1959” 一样的话，应该把逗号去掉。如果不一样的话应该把主语加回来。

白勇的《语法全解》上说同位语结构必须对其修饰具有解释力，可在名词前或后；独立主格在句首或者句尾，起状语作用，表伴随原因、条件、状态等。

我觉得B的错误之处有二。第一，in 1959的修饰对象问题，如前人所说。第二，by Lorraine Hansberry结构只能做状语而不能作定语修饰主语，所以它修饰了won，语法有错误。而D选项避免了这两个错误且没有其他错误。本人认为prep语法笔记上所说的“in 1959隔开了同位语drama and play和A Raisin in the Sun”的说法是错误的，因为许多正确的句子都有时间状语位于主语之前，隔开同位语的情况。
