想问一下各位牛牛，我看的是新东方李希强老师的OG分析，上面这题写的是making前面没有thus,thus对应and，想问一下，难道没有thus和分词一起出现的形式吗，一定是and thus?还有介词it的指代，为什么不是就近指代sloth,而是优先指代arm?

正确答案是D 哪里来it的指代问题？
thus为什么要对应and？除非thus后面是一个句子，需要and连词连接两个句子。
也可以有thus + Ving形式，表结果。

it的指代问题是出现在AB两个选项中，我只是想通过这个问题问一下代词指代的顺序。thus对应and是我在那个讲义上看到的，不过你的解释，很清楚了~~

在语法上对不对呢？

要这样看问题，因为你不知道指代什么，所以它就是有歧义的，其实这个句子本身也是有问题的，found and dated 作定语，后面made,就变成，fossils made the sloth balabala...........而句子原本表达的意义是dated这个动作所导致的结果是made the sloth balabala......

个人感觉没问题。
但是thus肯定不能省。
当连接副词连接的是两个adj性质的成分时候，可以省略and
First opened in 1892, then rebuilt in 1900, the federal immigration station on Ellis Island processed nearly three quarters of all immigrants entering the United States in the first quarter of the twentieth century.
opened... then rebuilt ... SVO

可不可以这样理解，连接副词也可以接两个完整的句子，但是一定要像你给我的那个网页上写的SVO分号conj adv逗号，SVO。如果是分号换成逗号的话，就一定要加and了？？？

这点我也一直存疑，感觉上SVO不能用链接副词链接，除非有其他连词或者分号。
