(E) as it was of earlier generationsit指代的就是ro">owning … land 啊。。。有点模糊了。。。用ro">it 指代句子ro">~~吐鲜血ro">~又被颠覆了ro">~

个人感觉不能算句子，顶多算个名词短语。
代词指代名词性质的东西，应该没问题吧。

嗯，看了看，确实是个名词性的phrase，但是用it指代还是不常见~
