有错的话,习惯用法应该是应错误吧?为什么E有对了呢?搞不明白
1. 这题的考点不在spend, 而是句子的歧义,gg仔细看看OG的解释.
2. 准确地说,高中里我们学的是国家教委要我们学习的英语,而不是GMAT里要考的英语. 看OG最重要的是去适应ETS的思路,而不是去印证ETS和高中里学的有什么不一样.

短语的习惯用法不是关键,GMAT重点考的是对句子的逻辑分析能力,讲究对称平行,逻辑合理,简洁有效. 从目前的考试趋势来看,短语的习惯用法考的越来越少,毕竟这个东东知道就是知道,不知道就是不知道,很难看出考生的能力。
几个常考的短语,比如consider, credit, distinguish, require等等,OG上都有解释.

spend time in/at sth
spend time doing sth

我记得语法点是这样 -
金钱:spend on sth. / spend on doing sth.
时间:spend at/in sth. / spend (in) doing sth.
至于‘为某人花钱’,我觉得应该是spend money for sb.
