标题: 求助OG13 几道题目， SC23 之前的那个帖子集合的出错了。
23，The Iroquois were primarily planters, but supplementing their cultivation of maize, squash, and beans with fishing and hunting.
with fishing and hunting.

(A) but supplementing

(B) and had supplemented

(D) although they supplemented

(E) but with supplementing
OG说 C的 and 和 even though 是2个连词，因此后面接2个动词。为什么啊？

连词后要有完整的句子呀=。=当然是要两个动词

og上说and没有convey contrast没说要带两个动词啊。
and得错误应该是没有表现让步，意思错。这里要接一个表达转折的连词。

至于even though为什么错我不知道。。。坐等大牛

and is use to coordinate two independent clause （both have a subject and a working verb）
when u use even though， where is your main clause？ here u got a sentence fragment

even though是即使，although是尽管，汉语体会体会就能感觉区别了。。

they are actually the same in meaning

grammatical distinction：

even though can only + clause！！！

although can take clause/ving/ved/adjective(后三者是作为状语从句的省略形式，具体关于状语从句的省略prep08语法笔记有讲解，你可以用word文档的搜索看下）

thx。我看了下语法笔记发现太细了，我时间也来不及了没办法顾及这么细的语法点了。
如果真有，靠句意解题吧。
我现在发现其实好多题目，通过句意能更快更好的解出来，盲目套用不熟悉的语法点只会让自己很迷惑

语法点的学习也不能忽视，很多时候句意的改变就是因为语法上的变化（verb tense、misplaced modifier、pronoun 等等）

btw：我现在在看第二遍og，发现正确率提高的并不明显啊，而且有些以前没错的题会新错，这和我做prep不一样，prep是错过的题仍旧再错。
针对这个现象有什么解释和解决的办法吗ls~

og针对e选项的解释有一句：supplementing is a modifier when contrasting clause is needed是什么意思？

问一下C选项，为什么THEY SUPPLEMENTED THEIR...HUNTING不能当作EVEN THOUGH的CLAUSE呢？

I cannot fully understand why OG says "and even though creates a sentence fragment'. Please give me further explanation~~~

Sunddenly i've got it!!!
"and" links 2 complete sentences.So, "even though...fishing and hunting"should be added a main clause,then the latter sentence is right .

FYI, option c can be right if 'and' is omitted.

any problems of this explanation, pls let me know.
